I received the product, packaged good, but still had cracked top ledges. 2 of them were cracked through. It was not worth complaining about, since they would have to pick up the whole product and schedule a whole new delivery. The issue is more with the quality of the product, not Home Deport or the delivery company. Overall I like it a lot! it looks great and even with the cracks I would buy it again. I like the look of it compared to other kits on the market. I did glue down the top ledges. If not, i could see them falling off rather easily. It is worth the 5.00 for the cement glue. For the price of this kit, it is still a good buy and very easy to put together.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Leslie Nice addition to our brick patio and back yard.
I read all the reviews for this product before buying. There were good and bad. When I received it I was very happy with the size and quality. It was easy to put together. We did have to move it from the drop location piece by piece but even that was easy. We did use the cement to secure the top stones and had to shim some with smaller stones to keep it level but that was very easy to do. I would recommend this!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nancy Ledge stone 47 in. Concrete fire pit ring kit gray variegated
We discovered a piece on the bottom layer was cracked in half and it wasn't a clean break so a chunk fell out as well. We decided to go ahead and keep it but had hoped it wasn't so damaged. The end product looks good and was easy to assemble. If not for this damage I would have given it five stars.

I purchased this fire pit last year, June 2013. A contractor friend of mine picked it up and put it together. The pieces did not line up well at all. He had to use multiple shims to try and get it level. He also used a masonry cement to try and keep the pieces in place, something the manufacturer says is not required. That loosened up after the third or fourth fire and pieces rocked back and forth. We used the pit most recently a few weeks ago. It may have been due to the cold weather but the top ring of the pit cracked in multiple places. These concrete section are not reinforced, and are poorly formed for a factory made product. This is definitely not worth the money.

Fire Pit comes built, but in order to put it where you want it, you must take apart and rebuild.
All the pieces interlock, and make a nice fit. The top ledge should be glued on for safety.
Easy install, good quality.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by SJ12DS Good kit, but......
So I purchased this kit even after some reviews mentioned poorly fitting stone pieces. My patio is level! Checked and re-checked so that is not the problem! Some of the pieces(formed concrete) are not straight and have some variation in the height of each piece(warped) which causes the finished fire pit to need shims under the pieces to make it level. As a matter of fact when I removed it from the pallet the factory had shimmed a couple of the pieces with wood to make the pit look level on the pallet. I think for $600 the pieces should all be level and even. There needs to be better quality control at the factory or better molds for the concrete! There were also pieces that had chips missing. Otherwise this is a complete kit and comes ready to use with a steel ring and sand. I will also say that the gray variegated does not have as much variation in color as the tan variegated does which makes the gray kit look just a lighter gray than the gray kit. I would only recommend this to someone if they fixed the levelness of the pieces. You should not have to shim a brand new 600 dollar fire pit!
