No. At only 1 1/2 inches thick and with no re-enforcing, even if laid on properly compacted sand, these pavers would quickly crack and begin to settle unevenly. The strongest, most trouble free driveway is a 4 inch thick, poured, re-enforced concrete drive, poured on a course gravel bed. If you would like some sort of design in the finished drive, many concrete contractors can now stamp various designs in the concrete while the surface is still semi-soft. Large rubber mats with embossed undersides are laid across the concrete and tamped down, leaving the embossed design imprinted on the concrete. To further the illusion, you could use colored concrete, such as red for a paving brick design. Of course, these extra steps will add to the cost of the drive. Read Less

Answer:
Each pallet covers 10 ft. x 10 ft. or 100 square feet. A 20 ft. x 20 ft. area comprises 400 square feet which means that you would need 4 pallets, not 2.

Answer:
I would not recommend it. Any unevenness or small voids in the sand base could result in cracking of the pavers under that weight. If, however, you wouldn't mind some cracking of the pavers' go for it. Just be sure that the sand base is as level and flat and as packed down as possible. If there is any cracking, it would most likely be under or along the edge of the tub.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 21 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great but a few broke easily Delivery was great, the pallet arrived in great shape and protected from the elements. There are 2 size of pavers. The smaller ones aren't heavy but the larger ones took 1 strong guy or 2 of us (mother-daughter) to carry. They fit well together and the patter is easy to follow. The only problem we had is that several of the smaller ones broke when we used the mallet (gently) to set them in place. It would be nice if they sent one or two extra in case they break. But overall, the patio now looks great (the broken ones we put under the fire pit). The color was true to the color in the pictures Time will tell how it holds up. July 5, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Thin Pavers The pavers are easy to work with but thin. two cracked in crate and more cracked when taped into cement sand. The color is very light not like in the picture. I am going to use a sealer to bring out the color. The delivery guy was grumpy and asked for help moving the crates into the driveway. i was not home, nor did I get a call before the delivery. So a neighbor helped him along with my 70 year old partner who could have been injured. June 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Color is exactly as advertised! We bought 2 pallets of these pavers to extend our backyard patio. I used my own pattern vs the one provided and was thoroughly impressed with how it turned out. The large pavers are shown in the video as if they can be lifted by one person. We did not find that to be the truth. My husband and I were able to place them in position together though. The result is beautiful and we are both very happy with them. May 31, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Really nice quality High quality patio pavers, the larger pavers 24x24 a heavy and time consuming to place. But well worth the effort. June 24, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great looking pavers good easy to lay pavers great looking love the turn out April 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Looks like real stone, not concrete The stones all arrived intact and quickly. They are heavy to move by yourself, especially the 24"x18" ones, but not unmanageable. My only complaint was that because they are only available online, I had no way to really see what they would like until they arrived. The pictures had me thinking they would be shades of grey with tan variegation, but in reality they are very tan (light beige/white) with occasional grey variegation. Placed against red brick borders, the patio is quite bright now. I have faith that eventually that will tone down with weathering. Otherwise, I am overall happy with them. July 1, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Patio Pavers! We really like the look of our new patio, but don't be fooled by the simple DIY instal instructions. This was one heck of a project for a novice. One stone arrived broken, and they are incredibly heavy and bulky to deal with, but overall a nice product. The actual stones are very beautiful. I love the look of the final product. Just a little landscaping around the new paito and some new patio furniture and we'll be all set! April 23, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice spring project with pavers Ordered three pallets for a 14x20 patio. Delivered on time with no broken pieces. Put in the polymeric sand yesterday and have no staining as cleaning the pavers is the key. Used a leaf blower to do it. Prep of the ground and keeping them level was a difficult process but worth the effort. Family and friends love it and so do I. It was the first time I attempted to do a project like this and pleased with the results. April 16, 2013
