Answer:
Thank you for your question. Nashua Stretch & Seal bonds permanently, but only to itself. There is no adhesive to bond to or leave sticky residue on your pipe. Once you've wrapped the threaded pipe, the Stretch & Seal will permanently bond to itself forming essentially a "sleeve" around the pipe which you can then cut away to remove. Best of luck with your project.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Stretch & Seal is a non-adhesive tape that only bonds to itself. Therefore it is suited for applications where it would be wrapped around something in a spiral fashion (like a pipe, tube, etc). Since it will only adhere to itself, it will not bond to the step material to repair the crack. Best of luck with your project.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Stretch & Seal actually does not have any adhesive at all - it simply fuses to itself. To remove, simply cut away the material away carefully using a utility knife or scissors. Best of luck with your project!

I have a water softener hooked up in my garage at the main. I have a very small leak which is a little trickle, nothing major. I just need to know if this is a good product to use on it to stop it. Thank you for all and any responses.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Based on your description of the leak, Stretch & Seal would provide an adequate temporary repair until a more permanent repair can be arranged. Best of luck with your project.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved the day for me Worked exactly as expected. I used two layers of tape and added a screw clamp over the actual point of the leak to reinforce the tape. Saved an expensive trip from the plumber.

I removed some factory tape off a section of a wire bundle in my car to inspect for a possible problem within a section of wire. I used a different brand of self-fusing silicone tape in the past and was pleased with it's quality. This tape worked perfectly. Follow the directions. Do not remove the plastic separator from the tape all at once. Only remove small sections as you wrap the tape around your project. Be sure to overlap the tape about 3/4 and it will fuse to its self and make a professional job look and stay perfect. Great product. There may be others on the market that offer similar qualities but this worked perfectly in the application I needed it to perform.

Bath tub built in and then floor assembled, leaving no space to work. I found this at Home Depot, tried it and found that the tape is excellent. The original fittings were copper, but they placed a steel nipple in between and it rotted out. A plumber gave a quote of $ 1500 to do the work. This was a life saver.

I use the tape to connect and leak-proof overflow pipes&holes of my 2 pairs of rain-barrels. At end of watering season, the tape is easier to cut and disconnect than vinyl pipes. I think I will use the white for gas discharge pipes coming out of over-sized and badly-cut siding holes.

I needed something to temporarily seal a leak in a hot tub drain and I didn't want to drain the hot tub to use it. This stuff handled the uneven surface well and I was able to apply it with water leaking from the joint. I'll repair the joint next time I drain the tub, but it's held for about a month so far.

Need the white now to tidy up badly-cut holes for gas pipes exiting through fiber-cement siding, to cover up paint and silicone of the last 10 years applied to stop gas from exhausting back into the basement and stairwell.
