It's not as pink as it looks in the photo (more tan shades to balance it out). I loved it when I first bought it 3 years ago. It occasionally shifted out of place - but not too often (and even the expensive ones shift). It's padded, comfy, and is wipes clean (appears to be made of vinyl). There were no manufacturing smells on it when I first received it. But watch for irregularities... A few of the ones I saw at the store had puckering near the trim or wrinkles in various spots. Also try to feel for even cushioning. Mine developed a tear because the cushioning shifted or was thin in one spot. The tear came on after 2-3/4 years and was noticeable when I was wearing socks or barefoot standing on it, but it didn't bother me. Due to the busy pattern you couldn't see it at all (a huge bonus if you're determined to buy a cheaper mat. Definitely get one that's patterned). These last few months, the vinyl surface began cracking all over (at least 10 different spots). Just small tears with the white polyester filling beginning to show. My family of 3 consists of 2 adults and 1 teenager. We have stood on this everyday for the last few years, but never abused it. It was never wet, always kept flat, never had sharp objects dropped on it, etc. The color never faded and it honestly looks brand new otherwise... But the padded surface cracking is the reason why I'm replacing it. I think it could've lasted longer with better filling (or perhaps more even filling). For the money though, you'll get a few years use out of it. One of the best features is that the edge is sloped to be nice and thin (so you'll never have to worry about tripping on it). It's cool in the summer and warm in the winter (much better than standing on the cold floor). I will miss having it now that I'm moving on to a different mat.
