Answer:
Yes it can. When installing on exterior walls, the manufacturer recommends using a good quality exterior grade thinset mortar. VersaBond is a brand that works well. The company also recommends using a flat (no gloss) masonry sealer. This will help protect the stone from moisture.

Answer:
Cutting the Go Stone panels will expose the black rubber aggregates in the cement. You will want to hide the cut ends against a finished edge where possible.

In each 5 s/f box you will get 40 vertical inches of finished/flat edges. Uses the flat edges as a starting edge and then butt your cut edges together.

Answer:
Yes. Go Stone can be applied to plywood. If drying time is a concern, you could use a traditional polymer modified thin-set mortar. But I think a good quality tile/stone adhesive will work fine.

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 26 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install and easy to be creative with Cutting small, precise cuts was difficult at times, but overall an excellent easy install. We coated with a polyurathane coating to give the color a deeper, more authentic look and feel. July 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Completely transformed my theater room! Couldn't be happier with results I used the Go-Stone on a wall in my movie room. Product was easy to use and completely transformed the room. I used an angle grinder with masonry cutting wheel for all my cuts. I,My project was around 80 sq feet as I used the stone to encase my movie screen on the 15x9 wall. Out of 18 boxes I only had 3 pieces that were broken but as others have said you can use these for specialty cuts you may encounter. Just so you know as you begin to cut the pieces, you will come out looking like a coal miner from all the dust but they do cut fairly easy with a good cutting blade. May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy DIY, fantastic look Pros: Assembly: The Go-Stones were very easy to assemble. Once we decided the pattern we wanted, we had 4 boxes of Go-Stone on the wall in 30 minutes, Color/Variation: The boxes vary slightly from box to box, thus making it easy to have a more natural look instead up a perfectly uniform unnatural look. Look: Last three people to walk into our home were shocked to learn that this isn't real stone. Looks awesome! Cons: Of the 20 square feet of stone purchased, 5 square feet was broken pieces. Though returnable, still frustrating that pieces broke during shipping. Overall, very happy with purchase! October 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easiest Project Ever I ordered 80 square feet for a project at my parents house. We updated an old back splash area behind their wood burning fireplace. I decided while I was home for Thanksgiving I would help with their remodeling and between 2 of us it was only a day's worth of work. The panels stuck directly to the faux brick that was there, and with some reinforcement (just in case) they also stuck to the faux wood paneling that was up. We placed a mantle in the middle of the wall and the stone helped to hold that in place as well. My parents were so thankful and get a TON of compliments on how wonderful it looks. The upgrade was needed but the results were even better than I had hoped. December 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love it!! Feels and looks like real stone but much lighter weight. We started out using a wet saw which works really well, but when you cut the stone it exposes the black recycled tires inside and the water turns black and gets all over the stone and is a mess. Then you have wash the black off of the stone. So we decided to use the saw without the water and that worked much better. It is easy to install once you get the cuts figured out. If you don't have to cut at all it's a breeze!! April 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Product!! Go-Stone was exactly as described. Color was same as picture. It was very easy to install. It loosk fantastic. I plan to purchase additional stone in the future for other projects! I would HIGHLY recommend this to consumers looking for stone. I did my research on installation and price per square foot and this was also the best deal! April 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Looking Product !! Easy do it yourself product. Out of 8 boxes I only had 5 broken pieces which I was still able to trim off the rough break and still use. The only negative is it smells like burning tires when you cut them. I used a angle grinder with the recommended masonry blade and it did cut very easily. It turned out better than I hoped. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by worked as advertised I used the go-stones to go on my new ventless fireplace, and face of the hearth. I couldn't be any more pleased with the final look. The stone was easy to cut. I started with a hacksaw, and quickly changed to a grinder with a 4-1/2" diamond blade. Even had to make some cuts, the length of the rocks. No problem making this cut. I used the mastic that was suggested from Home Depot. Worked great. I put my first row on the fireplace and hearth, and waited 24 hours for it to dry. After that, i was on my way. There were some broken rocks in each of the 6 boxes. Once again, no big deal. Just square off the broken parts, and use them where needed at ends of the rows. I will use these go-stones again.
