Product Overview

Absolutely more saving. More doing with the 100% solar powered savior pool filter from Natural Current, which runs silently from just the power of the sun. You'll be able to turn off your inefficient, noisy and expensive-to-operate pool equipment and both reduce pollution and save money for you and the planet. Pool owners with conventional pool pumps and filter systems spend roughly $1.00 to $5.00 every day or $30 to $150 every month on electricity. The savior can reduce that expense and in many cases eliminate it completely throughout the year. Installation is as easy as taking the Savior out of the delivery box and placing it on the surface of your in-ground or above ground swimming pool or spa. You won't need to worry about buying and installing batteries or connecting it to your existing pool equipment. Easily portable, the savior works in both sunny and cloudy weather-you don't need to live in an all-sun-all-the-time climate to reap the benefits of this solar-powered water filter tool. (During periods of heavy use, inclement weather or larger pools, your existing pool pump can always be run for a few hours here and there as a supplement to maintain filtered water.) The Savior is powered by a 60-watt, 12-volt solar panel made of tempered glass. The Savior float and solar panel has a life expectancy of 30 years and you can expect to spend approximately $50 every 1 to 2 years on normal unit maintenance (including replacing the pump or filter). Made in USA.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Its been great for my pool and energy bill! After almost 3 years, I'm still very happy with my pool savior. It's a savior on my energy bill to. Great invention, I would recommend buying one! July 29, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worthless I'll start by saying that the unit I received looks nothing like what is depicted in the Natural Current photos and video and duplicated on the Home Depot site. What you see is a one piece molded chassis with integral handles on top and a manifold with pump and filters underneath. What I received looked like a V1.0 prototype from ten years ago. It consisted of a thin sheet of plastic folded onto itself on four sides with the edges tucked in, resembling a hastily-wrapped Christmas present. At each corner is a quarter inch gap with jagged plastic edges, through which water readily enters. On each side there is a slot cut into the plastic to serve as a "finger entrance," to hoist it out of the pool. On the bottom is what at first I took for a piece of packing foam. As I tried to see how to remove it I realized it was attached (loosely) with four small screews/large washers and is in reality the flotation device. The remainder consisted of some PVC pipes and a bilge pump dangling from some loose wires. I did actually put it into my pool. I shot a morning video of it sitting next to my Solar Breeze solar-powered surface skimmer. The Solar Breeze was humming along, and works great, BTW, while the Savior floated silently, apparently in anticipation of more direct and ample sunlight. It did eventually come to life. I tethered it with a bungee cord in an area of the pool where it would be receiving constant sun and observed the movement of debris in close proximity. Whatever pumping action that was occuring was certainly too weak to create any significant attraction of visible particulates. Thank goodness I ordered this atrocity through Home Depot. I had no problem returning it and ordering a real pool pump. BTW, I contacted the inventor who appologized for not updating the photos. What is still being shown actually looks like a finished product, though I doubt it would perform any better than the one I got. For all I know this is the "new and improved model." What it looks like is something a tinkerer would build in his workshop from spare parts just to see what it would do. November 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Planet People and then Profit Living in the "Green" state of Oregon, I pride myself on finding companies and products that really make a difference in not just my personal life, but in the world. The Savior is one of those products and Natural Current is one of those companies. Using the Savior, I have saved money and I believe that I am making a difference in the world by reducing my carbon foot print. This product and company is making my world a better place. For my review summary title I borrowed a phrase from Natural Currents website. The people at Natural Current are truly motivated by Planet, People and then Profit. July 30, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product When I ordered this product for my above ground pool last year, the pool maintenance guys laughed at me. This year however, they are no longer laughing. I have gone a year without paying utility fees and am highly pleased, and so is my pool man! Highly recommended! Rick in AZ March 31, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by horrible Don't waste your $ on this. Much better quality and better pricing for better units out there. This is a one person shop and not a company in the sense that there are one hat for one department. Many hats for one person. Horrible customer service. Pump breaks often. Heavy. Not worth the time. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great value I recent got one of these for my pool and its was both easy to use and I am already seeing a savings on my bill. July 30, 2013
