The 18-Watt Folding Solar Panel is weatherproof and includes 10 various make and model laptop adapters and a clamp for use with 12-Volt batteries. The 8 Amp Charge Controller is used in unison with thePanel while charging batteries or electronic devices. It is required for use to protect the item connected to thePanel from overcharging, high voltage surges, short circuits, discharging and reverse current. Folded size: 7 in. x 6.75 in. x 0.5 in.

Customer Questions & Answers

could i use this on a sailboat to maintain some lighting, and charge phones along with maintaining a battery?

i have a 26' sailboat i am wanting to have a solar system on.. portable for not leaving on-board.. yet be able to hook up and go. needing to maintain the on-board batteries, (2 car batteries) while charging cellphones and some lighting at night...
Asked by: PAUL
This is more like a solar charger than a power supply. If you are running a small voltage light while charging a battery it will take a longer time to charge your battery. If you get more of these solar chargers and use one for each of your equipment than possibly.

Can it maintain a 12 volt battery in a trailer

Needed for very basic 2 1157 bulbs in trailer
Asked by: Bozz
As long as you have daylight or best of all sunlight you should be able to maintain your battery, but remember, the more you use from your battery, the longer it will take to recharge.

Can I run a small fridge off it while camping

Asked by: stmawgan
No. Unless the frig is about the size of a coffee cup. This is more a charger than a constant power supply. I advise getting a genny for your frig.

I have this and it works great... in reading the reviews I noticed (imasaywhat) his review and he is incorrect about the door stop feature. It doesn't work well as a door stop. Oh and another thing.. when checking voltage output like he did, apparently he didn't put a "LOAD" on his measurement that's why it read a higher voltage then what is stated in the manufactures specs. Even standard ac/dc adapters do the same thing. It's when you put a load on it is when it will drop down to the appropriate output voltage as stated. Otherwise this is a great solar charger for on the go peoples.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Who's in Control? Charge Controller Voltage Output Ratings per the Manufacturer: *Controller Cut-In Voltage = 13.0 VDC *Controller Cut-Out Voltage = 14.2 VDC Charge Controller Measured Voltage Output per Me the Consumer: *Controller Output Voltage = 17.2 VDC Hmmm? Maybe I should only use this "Controller" as a Door Stop?
