Product Overview

Nature Power Monocrystalline Solar Panels take the sun's energy and turns it into electric current. These solar panels are high efficiency 12-Volt solar panels featuring sturdy aluminum frames and high transparency tempered glass tops. They have a scratch resistant and antireflective coating to help keep the solar panel in good shape for many years. They are rugged enough to be permanently mounted outdoors or even on mobile applications such as RVs and boats. The entire module is sealed against moisture. Designed for charging 12-Volt batteries in off grid applications of any scale a solar charge controller is required to keep your batteries from being overcharged. Designed for use with Nature Power 8 Amp Solar Charge Controller or Nature Power 28 Amp Solar Charge Controller (sold separately). Installation time is minimal thanks to plug and play connections and included flat mounting hardware. Monocrystalline is the most efficient type of solar cell available on the market letting you get the most power per square inch. More durable than amorphous type solar panels the Nature Power Monocrystalline Solar Panels are warranted to retain at least 80% efficiency up to 25 years. Great for use with RVs boats backup power and all 12-Volt applications. An optional tilt mounting system is available separately.

Customer Questions & Answers

can it be run on small portable heater?

Asked by: Mhc
Let's see, a small portable electric heater pulls 1500 watts at 120VAC. This panel puts out 65 watts at 12V. No, it won't run your electric heater.

Can something like this be used to power a 10'x12' shed in my back yard for lighting and to run a circular or tabel saw?

Asked by: johnboy
It's only a 65 watt panel. Hook it up to a 12V car battery with a charge controller, and if you get 10 hrs of sunlight per day, you only get 650 watt-hours of power. That would run a few LED lights for your workshop and power your table saw for a few minutes before you ran the charge down further than you could recapture in one day.

How many would you need for a house if this was all you used?

Asked by: Carla
Hi Carla, Thank you for your question. This is the hardest question to answer because I do not know what your power requirements are. Also, all of our solar panels are labeled off-grid and do not tie into your local utility. If you are looking to offset your current electrical bill you would need to contact a solar company that handles grid-tie solar panels. Hope this helps If you have further questions, please contact our customer support line at 800-588-0590
