Product Overview

NeatHeat baseboard front cover is made of polymer and the end caps are ABS plastic. They are melt proof until approximately 460 degrees F. You can save yourself up to $75 per hour in labor plus the cost of material by installing NeatHeat instead of having a plumber install new baseboard throughout your home. You can install NeatHeat throughout the entire property in less time and without specials tools as it snaps on over the existing baseboard heater. NeatHeat will never rust or need replacing. It doesn't have any sharp edges and helps protect against children's and grandchildren's fingers touching the sharp fins inside. Check the "How To Measure For NeatHeat" guide below to make sure your individual baseboard heaters are the correct size for NeatHeat. Common brands include Slant Fin series #15, #30, and #2000, Sterling series petite 7, Suntech, and Weil Mclain; however there are also many lesser know brand names so it is always best to check your specific measurements.

  • End caps sold separately
  • Made of Polymer that is melt-proof until approximately 460 degrees F
  • Can be cleaned using common household cleaners
  • Not intended for use with electric baseboard heat
  • **NOTE: If the measurement is greater than 6 feet (72 inches) long, you will need to install more than one length of NeatHeat joined with optional splice part

Double check because the connectors and the sections are not the same shade of white. It may not be enough of a difference to bother you, but it can be noticed.

If you go to the Slant Fin web site there are cut sheets that show the dimensions of Slant Fin 30 series enclosure. Possibly it will fit over the element you have installed. The Home Depot does sell enclosure only that you could then use to put over your element. I know this sounds confusing so please feel free give me a call if you need help. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Doesn't stay formed and poor heat transfer I've been through two winters with this stuff covering my old baseboard. It inhibits the heat transfer to the room. Certainly you still get some heat but, not enough to heat my rooms anymore. Also, over time the plastic starts to lose a bit of its form and open up. This results in the top popping out. To fix it, I will have to purchase new plastic or put some tiny white screws along the top to keep them on tight. April 15, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Great product - wrong size - correct size not available via Home Depot. Although this product was PERFECT for my needs - the size was wrong. I need a 9" high cover and this only comes in 6". (I ordered in hopes that it would cover enough of the fins to look OK - it does not) The price was excellent and I was SO hoping it would fit. Other products (limited choices) sold online only would have cost about 500.00 to do a 14' section (one 10' one 4') and I have my whole house still to do. The cost of the same length in PVC was only 141.00. I'm not sure what I'll do, but I can't afford the cost for the online product. I've priced it out and it will cost over 5k to do my house (just to cover the units, not replace them)! That is WAY out of my budget. (the cost of the PVC to do my house would have been about 1500.00) So I had to return these products and will continue to try to find a reasonably priced solution - or hope they make this product available in 9" high sections eventually. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Look great, snap right on We just bought a home that is a bit of a fixer upper.. The baseboards are falling apart due to neglect from previous owners. We are slowly doing each room as we complete it with the neatheat system.. It is so easy to put on and they look great. We also have a toddler and she can't put her fingers inside which is great. We left them white but you can easily paint them. The end caps and splicers just give them a nice finished look, especially if we have to cut them. August 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by NeatHeat Doesn't perfectly fit our baseboards but makes a huge difference. 90% satisfied. Wish I could add before and after pics to this review. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy Total Transformation The baseboard cover was easy to install and immediately gave the bathroom a fresh, clean updated look! July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome Easy to install and updated the entire room in minutes. I definitely recommend this product. July 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Beware of cheap quality Beware of this product. It's very cheap plastic that doesn't even fit together by itself. I reluctantly bought it because my bathroom baseboard is in very bad shape. Notice the warning: Fits most. It didn't fit mine so be careful if you decide to buy. This product is so over-priced it's sickening. Such cheap plastic pieces that cost maybe 2 dollars to make. July 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fairly easy to install, looks great, bit pricey, but then again you only buy it once Lets start with value, I agree with others, these are pricey, however I also keep in mind that you are only going to invest in these once, then take into account replacing old metal ones with new, plus labor, it would actually be even more expensive and time consuming. So value, I give it a B+. Now for quality, the place is very durable, easy to clean, and also keeps dust out. They come with a 18 mo warranty as well from HD so if anything happens you just bring it in and they replace it, so that alone is pretty good and rolled into the price, most don't know that they carry a warranty. Installation is pretty easy, use some tin snip to cup the top and bottom and then score the rest of the line with a razor and bend back and forth until it snaps, hide rough cuts with the butt rings. As far as people saying they restrict heat, the key is to install them properly, make sure you have at min a 1" gap between bottom of cover and floor, also, make sure you OPEN or remove the damper flap piece on the original baseboard, I prefer to open them so the head deflects both out of the holes in the cover and circulates back down to floor since heats rises after all, this is kind of like a convection oven by doing this, if the damper is CLOSED it will block the holes in the cover. Overall it made our house looks night and day, so bright & clean and everyone who has seen these all comment on how they like the appearance better than the metal ones. Also these are NOT sharp which is great if you have small children, be careful installing not to cut yourself on the metal fins of the heateing element and wear gloves. I would recommend these especially for a do it your selfer. December 7, 2015
