Customer Questions & Answers

I am thinking of using to build as a retaining wall. Do you have installation guide on how to do this?

I want to know how to secure the wall to the ground. I have dug out the perimeter to install the wall but not sure how to proceed with installation.

how long/ height the piece is

I want a decorative retaining wall

The seat wall is 6-feet long and about 20-inches in height, which makes for a comfortable seating height. The wall kit includes 3 size blocks (10.5 x 7 x 3.5, 7 x 7 and 7 x 3.5) and assembly instructions. You can join several kits together to make a large seating wall. Be sure to install the wall on a solid base to avoid movement. We installed our wall on top of the patio, which sits on a 10-inch base of stone, crushed granite and sand. The kit includes blocks for a straight wall. A curved wall can be achieved by modifying the blocks using an angle grinder outfitted with a diamond or segmented blade, and a masonry chisel to form the curve. I'd then recommend grinding the cut edge to soften it. if you need more blocks, the 10.5. x 7 x 3.5 wall blocks are sold individually at The Home Depot for about $3.20 each. The wall is easy to install and assembly can be completed in a few hours. I'd recomemnd dry-fititng the wall andf then reassembling it with Loctite PL polyeurethane construction or landscape adhesive (3-4 tubes for each 6 feet of wall). I finshed off my 700 sq. ft. patio with a 26-foot seating wall, firepit and a log holder just over a year ago. Prior to installing the seating wall, we didnt use the backyard at all. We now use it all the time, and receive compliments from everyone.

Customer Reviews

6 ft. Desert Lakeland Seat Wall is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use. 3 size blocks create a nice design element. After installing a 700 sq. ft. paver patio, I constructed a 26-foot L x 19-inch H sitting wall for a firepit, which I capped with contrasting rustic grey concrete wall caps . I also purchased additional blocks which I cut with a continuous rim diamond blade installed on my Rigid 12-inch compound miter saw to construct a log holder. These blocks are supposed to resemble worn stone, so some nicks and chips are acceptable. When arranged properly, the 3 size blocks create a nice design element as compared to a traditional stack and stagger block design. The blocks are consistently sized, which makes them easy to work with, and the color runs throughout the block. My overall impression is that these are good wall blocks and were easy to work with. The wall is more costly than purchasing the blocks individually, but the advantage here is that the blocks are pre-counted, cut, and ready to install.
