The directions were well written, simple and easy to follow. Having my grandson help made the installation a little longer, but was certainly worth the time. I have plans to install another fire pit for another family member.

I had to use the $19 Home Depot rental truck to get this bad boy home, but it was worth it. The cooking grate works well (nothing like a steak cooked over an open fire!) and is easy to remove and replace for a good fire. The literature enclosed with the kit described optional equipment you could obtain, but they are not available from Home Depot: spark screen, metal pit cover, stone caps for top of pit. Contacted the manufacturer and they referred me to a local lumber yard that could order those items. Found out I could have ordered everything, pit and all, from the lumber yard and they would have delivered it to me for free!

Our fire pit kit arrived on schedule and was easy to assemble. The fire ring and grill look great but the ring would fit better if cap stones were available. As it is , the ring is not quiet a perfect fit.

Very easy to construct.
Will definitely need a heavy duty truck to transport from the store.

This was the product that we have been looking for. It will serve our needs for the rest of our life. We couldn't be happier with our Choice. Thank you for a great fire pit.

The fire pit was a bit time consuming to build. The actual stacking the blocks was easy, but digging out the base and leveling everything took some time and effort. I admit I went a bit over board. I dug out a bit more than 6", because I wanted it to last. Once the hole was done, and filled with sand, the rest was easy. setting the center was easy, because when I measure the area to dig I used a short length of rebar, and just left it in place while I dug, filled and leveled. Having a string attached, this allowed me to ensure 360 degrees were all the same. It also allowed me to be able to center my stones properly. Once the fist course is complete, it is simply glue, offset, stack, and repeat. I went through the stones to keep any chips on the outside of stones to the first course, as these were partially buried, and any chips on the inside, the the upper courses where they would be hidden behind the steel of the fire ring.
Overall, the project was relatively easy, and the final product has been well worth the cost in time and money. Sitting around the fire in the evening (I also purchased a hinged fire screen that goes perfectly with the pit to safeguard us from flying ashes), and laughing and talking with friends or family is why we wanted this product. We could not be happier.

We were so excited to get our fire pit that we assembled the stones and ring before opening the boxes to find there was some adhesive to hold the bricks together. Oh well. I put it to the side and will use it if we need to. As of this writing, we haven't used it yet but plan on doing it as soon as the extreme hot weather goes away and we can enjoy being around it.
We also bought 6 bags of VIGORO VISTA RED ROCK (.5CU FT) to put inside it. Just made it look awesome.
