The Fireplace was really easy to put together until I got to the point where I ran out of Blocks. There were like 5 or 6 blocks missing so I had to make my own thing happen to top off the structure. I happen to have a retaining wall built out of the same type stone, so I was able to use some of them to finish out the project. I also had to cut some of the stones I had taken off my wall to make them work. So, If you do this project be sure to have a saw, masonry blade and a few EXTRA blocks available, in case you are short any material. Other than that this was relatively simple project! Good directions but VERRY HEAVY CAPS. Not a one person job, have help available when you get to those heavy parts.

Very easy to assemble just time consuming. Be sure to have a sturdy and level base ready before you begin or it will not go well! Doesn't include a log grate but everything else is included. Much more enjoyable than a fire pit because of the chimney!

We had the fireplace shipped to the local store and then delivered with the wood for the rest of our project. The instructions were easy to follow, and my wife and I built the fireplace in two days. The top concrete section is the heaviest, and it took three of us to get it up there and in the correct spot. I would suggest a 4th person for this part!
We had a sloping yard and took special care to pour the concrete pad level. We actually increased the dimensions of the pad for some flex room.
I would suggest one thing, if I were to build this model again. We designed the project so that the fireplace will 'rise' out of our wooden deck. The fireplace is shorter than you think, and the smoke coming out the top is at our height, so consider raising your pad higher than you think. Also, we designed and poured our own concrete hearth.

I did my research and finally decided on this fireplace. It looked perfect for the small space we were working with. Home Depot offered the best price. My husband said that this would be my project, so I was a little nervous. We poured a concrete slab to support the fireplace. The fireplace was very easy to build. There was more than enough adhesive and firebrick mortar. I only needed help lifting the large flat pieces. I feel that the instruction manual was a little confusing with the way the bricks were labeled, but the pictures were very clear. I also believe that some of the larger bricks were supposed to be cut because we had extra large bricks and were short some of the cut bricks. We just ended up taking a row off the top which made it 4 inches shorter. Not a big deal. I'm so happy with the finished product and it is a great addition to our yard (looked great for our Halloween party).

I was tired of replacing the small steel outdoor fireplaces every other year at $300 each. I found this one at HD for $1900+. Although initial cost is high, it is quality built and has lifetime manufacturer warranty. everything required was included except large and small chaulk guns. The firebox has a fire brick lining so you will never discolor the outside blocks from heat. Keep in mind this thing weighs almost 4000 lbs and requires a strong base and some way to get it home.
Easy to assemble, takes about 4 hours not including building the base. I used a concrete pad.

Everything that was advertised. Lots of compliments and everything was included that was needed. Nice addition to my patio and blends right into my sitting wall.

For the price you can't beat this wood burning fireplace. Heavy and solid - should last forever. My son and I assembled it in just under the 4 hour estimated build time. Highly recommended.
