Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Popanuge Fun project and a great addition to the yard.
I purchased this kit roughly 4 years ago. I needed a shady spot in the back yard to sit and protect me from the afternoon Georgia sun. I didn't want something temporary that would require me to take down in the event of a storm or take down every Winter.
A pergola fit the bill. This kit arrived in seven different boxes with what appeared to be about 300 screws. Despite this somewhat daunting first impression, the kit went together quite easily and it was actually a fun project.
I opted for the additional slat kit for the roof to provide additional shade and to provide additional soundness to the structure. I eventually planted two wisteria to cover over the top of the pergola for complete shade.
The major crosspieces are steel reinforced which I thought was a real nice touch.
There is nothing about this kit that I am disappointed with.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fixit5 A great addition to my Hot Tub once completed..
I love the looks and style. The basic pergola was well worth the price, The additional add-ons like the arch and privacy fence are a little overpriced. Not as much shade as I hoped for.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bucketron Pretty addition to Wisconsin backyard
Finished product looks great and has held up perfectly through it's first Wisconsin winter. Assembly proved to be quite a difficult task though...hired two contractors recommended by our local home improvement store, and it took over 14 hours to complete. Contractor stated the pergola was engineered improperly and parts were made cheaply. After final inspection I pointed out that they had installed the arch kit incorrectly, and it appeared that in several places they measured only once and had to drill twice. All in all I would recommend this product and look forward to enjoying the outdoors and sun this summer.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Dave Looks great, easy to setup, and sturdy.
Pergola looks great on my patio and provides decent shade. Very easy to setup... took my father-in-law and I one day (8 hours) to setup. I already had cement footers installed, so it probably would have taken a little longer than a day. My wife and I are extremely pleased with the pergola... it provides a nice little something extra to our patio. Definitely recommend it!
A couple warnings... 1) some of the screws are a little cheap and warp easy, but extra screws were included so you should have enough; 2) If you use the bolt-down bracket system, make sure to have extra concrete screws and a concrete drill bit... the screws that came with the system warped easy so they didn't work and the drill bit wasn't long enough.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dawng Beautiful Pergola
This pergola took my husband and father 2 days to complete. We poured a concrete floor and sank four posts for the foundation. This is one sturdy pergola. My father's only complaint was that the screws that were provided were not sharp enough to get through the thick vinyl without a pilot hole being drilled. This slowed them down a bit but it was definitely worth it. I also purchased the arch kit and I'm so glad that I did. It really compliments the pergola and I can't tell you how many compliments we have gotten from by passers in our neighborhood.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kapierso Love it in Biloxi, MS.
One of the few people I know to have one in my area...Biloxi, MS. But, it is such a beauty to look at. Nice size and height. Spacious and open underneath. Gives just enough shade off of the back of the house. Goes perfect on top of my cobblestone/ rock garden....planting vines and flowers to attract the hummers this year. Can't wait to see my vines take off and start to twine around the posts. Make sure to measure and set the posts correctly at the start of project! The rest of set up is fairly easy aftert that. Anyway...I love it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HVAW Exactly what I envisioned
I am totally pleased with the end result. My husband and I were able to set it up within two days. Following are some
comments, which I hope you will find helpful:
1. Shim instructions should be included in the main pergola instructions (they were included with the brackets) as you will need the shims either way you mount the posts.
2. Screws for concrete very flimsy. Had to buy actual concrete screws.
3.Drill bit that was included should be bigger than 3 inches as you need extra length for the chuck
