Can it handle weights and gym equipment? Or will it crack and dent?

Asked by: zach
It depends on the subfloor, but I would expect the flooring to hold up to gym equipment that isn't being dropped onto it. I have cabinets on casters and the flooring hasn't given me any problems moving the cabinets around on top of it. If there will be barbells dropping onto it, it may not hold up as well, just because it is only a thin layer of PVC.

Can this be glued down?

Im concerned about the edges coming up, or the car tires moving the sheets. Can it be glued? thank you
Asked by: tcb1123
Yes, but you will need to be very careful with how you apply the glue. Because the PVC is somewhat thin, it does show imperfections on the subfloor (even tiny stones that managed to get under it). If the glue isn't applied uniformly, you may see it as bumps or raised areas on the flooring.

90 in. x 240 in. Gray VersaRoll PVC Flooring is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from dont drive on it It looks very nice when first installed, much nicer than a concrete floor but....I was under the opinion it was safe to drive on. There are now tire marks almost as if the hot rubber tire could have burnt the flooring. If there is away to get these marks off I sure would like to know. I tried bleach, soap water, goof off, goo gone and the marks don't even fade. Im also a disappointed because I have noticed to small rips but I haven't the slightest idea how the rips were made because they were not there at the time of installment

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Work for what I need Bought 2 rolls to cover my garage floor wall to wall. I used double sided carpet tape at the lap joint (tried the but joint but it was hard to line up and it get a tight joint). I also glued it down and sealed the edge at the garage door opening to keep any water or dirt from getting under it. I also curled it up the wall for the same reason. It's make the garage floor look clean and nice to walk bare foot on. I would recommend only installing this in the summer so you can unroll it in the hot sun which help flatten it out from being rolled up and makes it easier to work with. Watch for metal edges on shelves I put a wood latte under it so the rack would not cut into the flooring.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Garage mat I did recommend this product to my next door neighbor and he purchased two rolls for his garage. I am happy , but TIRE marks show on the product from my cars. You can see a trail of marks where the cars were driven into the garage. Is there any thing I can do to about this problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love walking on my garage floor now. My concrete garage floor is cold and dirty year round. I hated walking into my garage with my bare feet. I decided to try the PVC flooring because: A. It looks nice B. Its easy to install C. It covers my entire garage, wall to wall I installed it by simply overlapping each roll by about 6 inches. No adhesive necessary and so far, it doesn't appear to be a problem. I love it! I can walk into my garage barefoot and it feels good. It is extremely easy to clean (even with a vacuum cleaner). My only real complaint (and its a small one) is that I put the flooring down in the winter and because the floor is so cold, the PVC hasn't flattened out yet and consequently, it has ripples everywhere from being rolled up. I expect that once temperatures get above 70 degrees, the flooring will relax a bit and smooth out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Purchase Ever! When customers complain that this product curls at the ends or does not lay completely flat, my guess is that they are not following the instructions which recommends laying product under the sun for a while so that the warmth softens the PVC a bit. I did exactly as instructed and sure enough, no curling and product laid completely flat on my garage floor.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from probably not a good idea It will not look as good as you think it will. I tried to be very careful with install, cutting precisely, mating up edges, taping down edges, etc, it still looks poor in spots. Very difficult to do without getting loose bubbled spots or curl ups. If you just overlap it that will look poor too. Its more work to prepare and do an epoxy floor, but i with i had just done that. Kind of diffiult to clean too, tends to hang on to dirt without aggressive mopping.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible! Like many others, I purchased this floor for my garage in July 2015 when it was on sale. I totally regret the purchase and now have to completely clear out my garage and remove this awful product. After one year there are three major issues that I have found with the product that cannot be remedied and should be considered warranty issues; (1) hot tire pickup and staining, (2) bubbling and curling in random locations and (3) movement of the product. Unfortunately the product is only warrantied for one year so basically this will be a a monumental waste of time and money. The manual does mention that stains must be cleaned up or they can be permanent but there is no way it can be advertised as a garage floor product when hot tires will leave marks. I noticed that this is a product made by "NewAge" and it just so happens that I purchased $400 worth of workbenches and they are made by this same company. I will be canceling that order and taking my business elsewhere thank you very much!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for cars This floormat is not for to park cars. I had a good epoxy floor and it was holding my car very nicely. I thought I would add in another layer with this mat. I used for only two days, this mat started showing black/brown tire marks where I parked my car. I thought of removing to clean it outside and I saw the mat stuck to the floor under tires and it peeled epoxy paint from the floor. I could not use this mat to park car and now it spoiled my garage floor.
