Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by David Garage ceilings are high so leveraged the space to gain additional storage space. The biggest challenge was getting the initial placement where it connects to the ceiling. It took part of an afternoon with the help of my son to install. The system is well constructed and I feel comfortable it will hold what I need to store. You need to be handy to install and another set of hands help.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Walter excellent product and very practical
The instructions were not very good according to my opinion, but with some patience and endurance I was able to figure it out and I am very satisfied!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BobC I've been looking for this!
I was considering building a shelf like this to store items up off of the garage floor. This was the perfect solution. Much neater looking and faster to assemble than one built from lumber. I don't have any advice that has not been given already. Just be careful not to overload this beyond the recommended weight unless you provide extra support. I couldn't follow the instructions exactly as my ceiling joists were a couple inches off so I improvised slightly. I also added a strap in the middle front and some rear support to the back since it was next to the wall (see photos). I am quite sure it will hold more than the rated weight.

Received very quickly once order was placed. Assembly was easy and quick. Materials are heavy duty. Very pleased with this purchase. Thanks

Read the instruction several times, they are the only weak link. Once installed, this unit is really great for getting clutter off the garage floor and yet accessible. Installed mine above work bench which blocked some overhead light, so installed a shop light underneath the rack. Great unit, buying another one.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Brian Great product, terrible hardware
The rack looks great once installed. WORD OF CAUTION - do not use the provided lag screws. They are worthless. With an 18 volt Dewalt impact gun I broke the first 6 screws in half trying to screw them into pre-drilled holes in the ceiling joists, leaving 3" screws in the holes. They are terrible. I went to Home Depot and purchased some decent lag screws at $1/each and they worked perfectly.
If the screws broke that easily on install, I can't imagine that they would hold 600 pounds of weight. Save yourself time and headache and go buy 8 law screws before even attempting to install this.
FYI the screws pictured are roughly 1/2" long - before snapping off the lag screws were 3" long. Very fragile, to say the least.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by cj Installation ended up taking about 2 days but I assumed our garage joists were placed where these legs are. They weren't so we used a 2x6 to cross over several joists so the legs would have something to connect to. We installed two in our garage. Seems sturdy. The 4x8 does not have a middle connector to the ceiling, but the attaching bar to connect the two 4' runs has four or five bolts per side, so hopefully that's just as strong. Worth the under-$200 cost.
