Answer:
yes, this water cooler and I believe every water cooler has a piercing device. Don't ever take the cap off unless you plan on pouring your own water from it.

Answer:
Hello,
This unit does not have a bottle spike, so the cap would need to be completely removed so the water can flow into the unit.

Answer:
I saw it was an on-line purchase only. When I went there they had limited water coolers, not
much to select from. I ordered mine on the 15th and got on the 18th.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 36 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Water Dispenser Dispenser is very handy! Especially for the instant soups & etc.You can get hot water in minutes and shut it off to get it back to ambient temp in a short time. March 29, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Childs lock didn't lock the dispenser is very short. I'm short but I really had to bend down to get the water. (But that is not why I returned it) I returned it because the child lock didn't work before we turned on the hot water we tried it out to see if our almost two year old could get water out of it and he did! This is the only reason I gave it 2 stars safety for us was very important otherwise the machine itself worked pretty good just didn't work out for us! August 10, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by dissapointing The water cooler works fine. Hot is hot and the cold is pretty cold. But the compressor has the most annoying whine. It wouldn't be so bad except for it runs a lot. I'm not one to give much thought about the noise level of household appliances but this one is really loud and annoying. July 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by FInally, a water dispenser that gets my water COLD enough I received the NewAir WCD-200W for review on my blog & other outlets. I figured I'd share my observations here. Pros Being short I love the size. I can put a jug on the top without asking for help. Cold gets cold - hot gets hot. This is the first unit that actually gets my water ICE cold! Clean lines that fit my decor. It is a simple unit, making it blend easily. No icky plastic taste. The water comes through METAL rather than plastic. Love the safety pinch feature for the hot water. Cons A little low for my VERY tall husband October 22, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Smell plastic and too loud The water dispenser came with a very strong plastic small. The water tasted bad even after a few days. When the a/c is turned on, it has a high pitch noise that annoys you. Return it after a week. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Top of the line water cooler Dispenses hot and cold water, Make a cup of hot chocolate ready to drink April 19, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Newair water dispenser This dispenser started leaking from the cold water spigot after only three weeks. As this developed on a Friday and my dispenser is located in my office, I arrived to a soaked carpet on Monday morning. Apart from the refrigeration coil, this model is 100% plastic. It is very cheaply made and I would not re- purchase or recommend to another. Had the description been better at the HD website I would have spent more $ to purchase a better constructed dispenser. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Exactly as described on web site The water cooler arrived when scheduled. It was well packaged and undamaged. Everything works and the unit is well constructed for the cost. It does not feel like a commercial unit but will work well in a home or small office. The chiller works well and the heater works well and there are separate switches to control both functions.
