Customer Questions & Answers

Can I install this product on top of a vinyl deck? Concerned about having it gradually pierce the vinyl over time.

Asked by: Otter
My husband and I don't think you should have any problem doing this, Otter. The only metal part of the decking are the screws. All of it is plastic so we don't think this should pose a problem. We did our screened in porch and we do like it very much. No upkeep is the key. Good luck....by the way it is very easy to install. We did it together.

Can they go on top of grass

Asked by: Nett
not a good idea won't stay together because the grass wouldn't be a good base for it.

Can these titles go over cement floor screened in patio?

How many boxes would I need to do a big area. 10 long by 15 ft. wide
Asked by: Cupcake
Hi cupcake...we are doing it as we type and it is relatively easy. My husband will have to make some cuts to them but so far so good. I do like it since there will be no upkeep but they do look very "plastic." I can live with that though.

Can theese be installed indoors on basement slab in a closet with long history of moisture problems?

Asked by: Aaron
I would see no problem installing these anywhere that gets moisture. We put them on our screened in porch which gets wet from the rain. They are not slippery when wet and easy to install. Good luck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't Be More Pleased... Really! We installed our tile over a concrete finished balcony deck. It went from a grimy stained floor with a rough finish that was impossible to clean to a beautiful high quality finish. It has changed the feel of the space completely even though we thought it looked pretty good before with the furnishings and plantings. The tile went down very quickly. The tiles on one side need to be trimmed on a diagonal to fit the space. It took about three hours total from start to finish. It seems very sturdy and the water from my plants now runs nicely under the tile to the drain in the deck. Love it. VERY pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install and looks fantastic after I have a 9'X10' deck and it has those long planks on a sub floor type of thing. Every fall, the leaves would blow in and stay stuck until I clean it the next spring - which got tiresome after a while. So, my husband suggested I try this decking and I am happy to say that the only hard part was carrying the nine boxes up three flights of stairs. The tiles snapped together easily, much like Legos, and you can do (limited) patterns if you are so inclined. Best of all, they feel great underfoot and clean up was a breeze after I dropped a flower pot on it accidentally.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product! It clipped together just like that! The only issue if you cut a a board in half there is nothing to hold it on to the base. Glue did the trick though. Looks great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good application These tiles seem to be of good quality and are relatively easy to put down. The main part of the floor goes down in no time but the cuts obviously take a bit longer. Since they aren't solid squares like real tiles the cuts can be a little tricky though nothing over complicated. They look great when put down though they do have a "plastic-y" feel on your feet. Similar material to a Trek product so I assume they will last a long time. Per square foot this is fairly expensive but it is an easy and good looking application, but just remember to measure three times and cut once!
