Shavers like mine that use the RQ 12 head were great. I never used a shaver before and fell in love with the
my shaver. Fast forward to blade replacement time, Philips purposelessly degrades the replacement blades/head (RQ12+) destroying the shaver's quality. The replacement is so bad the shaver cannot be used anymore because of the noise and dull blades that rip the face. Philips knows how bad it srewed up and instead tuck tail and ran hiding hoping the market will move on to newer shavers. I bought the shaver little more than a year ago plus now the the replacement head. Both are are in the trash.
I called Philips with no satisfaction. They know about the problem but will not be addressing it. It was suggested I purchase a new Philips shaver for more than twice the price if i want the same quality results and then throw it away in a year because the replacement heads will have the same lack of quality.

i used blades and shaving cream my whole life 64 years
until my wife bought me the norelco arcitec which used the rq10 replacement head and it was great for 4 years until they changed the head to the rq12 which rips up my face and that i can not use
please refund my money so i can go buy blades again

The RQ12+ is a terrible replacement for the original shaving head.
I bought a Norelco 7000 because you can't easily find original heads for the 1280X. My 3 or 4 year old 1280X cutting head outperforms the brand new Norelco.
I won't buy another Norelco until they "make Norelco great again." All kidding aside, I won't.
The 1280X appears to have been the apex of Norelco quality.

I've been trying to use this razor for some time since I replaced the head. I've finally given up as it is just too uncomfortable. I doubt I'll be getting another Norelco Razor. Currently I'm back to a blade and shaving cream. Faster, easier, and far more comfortable. I was hoping that by now they would produce something better, but I just checked online and this is it.

I love my 3D razor. I've been using it for 2 years.
The new replacement head doesn't provide the product performance I based my buying decision on at the time when I purchased the razor originally.
This is absolutely unacceptable!
Can you just bring the RQ12 back?
Sell the RQ12 next to the RQ12+ and you'll be able to see what the consumer wants.
These are the kind of decisions that make a company look horrible and lose customer loyalty.
Norelco you lost mine.

I've had this shaver for 3 years. After the second year I had to try the RQ12+ shaving head. It was Ok, but now that I've had it for a year it is severly worn out. I put my old head on that I had previously used for a year, and it is far superior. I seem to recall when first tried the RQ12+ head it seemed to be on par with my one year old RQ12/52. Nothing beats the RQ12/52 if you have an extra days growth, it chews through the stubble no problem. The RQ12+ makes me 5 minutes late for work.
Battery life is starting to wane a little, now down to about a week.
Bring back the performance of the RQ12/52! Nothing else like it on the market.

I have replaced my shaver head every year. Now with the new RQ12+ shaver head I can do it much more infrequently and just replace the blades. This is an amazing improvement to an already great product and design. Over the many years I have owned my Philips Norelco SensoTouch3D 1250XCC unit it has allowing performed fo me.
