Answer:
There is a drain tube from the bottom inside of the unit that comes out the back and goes in to the drip pan.
This is for leaks or condensation that may build up in the unit. Every unit has one.

Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 20 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Decent kegerator, some assembly issues, works well Unit arrived extremely well packaged in double boxes with lots of padding. Assembly instructions are not very clear at times. At a different house, I have an EdgeStar unit that I purchased a year ago and it also had poor assembly instructions. Read them and reread them all the way through as you will have to remove some parts that are already assembled. One of my castors had been poorly threaded and would not screw into the base without reworking the threads. Fortunately, I used to work in a machine shop, so a vice and a couple of files fixed that. The CO2 assembly is stainless and appears to be very high quality. There are 2 gauges on the regulator and the shut-off valves are stainless. The CO2 system was much nicer than the brass manifold in my EdgeStar which only had a single gauge. Fit and finish is just ok. The catch tray on top looks fine if you put it under the tower collar. The stainless on the door is quite thin so it shows some wrinkles. Why they didn't center the "Nostalgia Electrics" logo on the front door is a mystery. Two 1/6 kegs fit nicely inside. Initially, I found the unit getting too cold, and over several days kept raising the temp until I got a consistent 38 deg in the morning. The final setting was at the warmer end of the dial. I have outside in a covered patio where the ambient temp averages about 76. Overall, I am happy with the unit, beer is nice and cold and don't have to recycle barrels of bottles anymore. The Nostalgia unit wasn't my first choice, but I live on an island where neither Sears nor Lowes could get me their units. Credit to Home Depot for getting it over here in a month as a special order. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Made my husband very happy!!!! Bought this for my husband and of course our 4 adult sons. Which enjoy it when they come to visit us on the lake. Has a good footprint and look. My husband prefers really cold beer so he would like the temp to get a bit colder. However my son's feel the temp is fine. For the price it is a over all good deal! June 23, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kegerator satisfaction Just set it up yesterday in my gazebo outside. So far so good January 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not up to par I rather spend more money to get a more quality product. We ordered this product on line and when it came in a month later or so it was so damaged that is was beyond any repair! The box was so mangled I new we would be returning it before even open it. We recorded one. It came in about 2 to 3 weeks and it was in decent shape. Very light dent on the side and a light scratch but it was all barely notice able unless u really checked it out. Brought it home. We let it get cold for a week then got a keg hooked up to it and it ruined most of our beer. It would get near the 30's. Stayed around 45 degrees. Regular kept fluctuating, would t stay in one spot. We thought we'd give it another try with a different kind of beer and it was the same thing. We will be returning it tomorrow after giving it a 2.5 month chance. It's more of a hassle then anything. Going back to our old one spout kegerator we used to have. It's a better brand then this knock off! October 16, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 2-Keg Double Kegerator Relatively easy set up , though I would prefer that the air tank was larger. The look of the cabinet looks nice with most decors and once the unit cools, it says that way. I have my unit on the covered patio by our pool and it does have a tendency to sweat and form ice inside the cabinet periodically calling for a defrosting, but it keeps the beer cold and flowing, no matter which of the two kegs I choose to drink from. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Incomplete Review Quite possibly worst assembly directions ever. It's great when it works, but may have a regulator leak or something. Final rating TBD September 15, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 2nd and 3rd Tap for our patio pub The setup was mostly straightforward. There were a few steps in the assembly process where parts needed to be replaced and other (supplied) parts used - only in one part of the instructions. Otherwise everything went together as described in the instructions. It took about 1 hour to put this together. Let it set for a few days to ensure the temperature came down and the thermostat worked. Picked up my first 1/6 keg and added it; used an existing CO2 bottle to get started without adjusting the gas on the first line. It was set to 10 lbs. - a bit too much for my first 1/6 keg, so I dialed it back. I usually run 3-5 lbs on my other kegerator - that helped but I still got a lot of foam. I would recommend using the provided CO2 bottle as the one I had was much larger - a back up for my first kegerator. The provided CO2 bottle straps in nicely and won't fall once it's secure inside the cabinet. The larger bottle did kept tipping over from the weight of the regulator. Also, if you run one keg to start out, adjust the gas; when you add the second keg; adjust it again. After the gas is split, the pressure drops. I REALLY liked the gas adjustment on this model, and the option to lock the setting with the provided allen wrench - gas adjustments are much easier. Also, the regulator that comes with this model is what I had to buy for my first kegerator. It's nice to see how much pressure is in the CO2 bottle and what is being delivered to the keg(s) gas line(s). I'm thinking of another one in the future when we remodel the patio to get a nitrous system started setup, and make it a total of 5 taps since the first kegerator has the import sanke (keg coupler), this one has the domestic sanke, the nitrous is a separate (third) sanke to buy. It's a great unit, easy to setup, runs well, and delivers! September 29, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not the best quality unit tank is not threaded correctly, sent replacement same issue, waiting for tank 3. Plastic top is bendy, and the drain pan does not integrate with the tower trim well. I have a Kegco brand that is much better quality. August 8, 2015
