Customer Questions & Answers

How hard is it to keep this clean? Can you submerge in water and soap to clean up?

Asked by: apatj
As far as you clean it right after you use it, it should be fine. Pan is fixed with body which heats the pan, I would not submerge it under water.

What kind of chocolate do you have to use or does it not matter?

Asked by: Cocolover65
I used HERSHEY'S and Nestles. As far as it melts and you can soften it, it should be fine.

Chocolate Fountain is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works okay This mini chocolate fountain works okay. It is probably the smallest size chocolate fountain you will find out there so it's not the size you want to use at a party. You can just fit a medium size marshmallow in between the different tiers! It is very easy to put together and requires pre-heating for a couple of minutes before you can run it (has a separate heat switch). You have to melt the chocolate to a thin consistency and heat it up before running it through the fountain. Then you switch the motor on (has a separate motor switch). Once you place the chocolate in the pan it immediately starts working and the chocolate gets transferred to the top via the auger and it flows down. It is relatively noisy for its size so I would hesitate to run it at the dinner table as it can become unbearable. Cleaning it after use takes some patience but it's not that bad to be honest. In my opinion this is just an average product. The size is not very practical and we found it noisy. If you accept both of those disadvantages then I would still recommend it as it works okay and is reasonably priced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gives out a lot for it's size! This little chocolate fountain was a bit smaller then i anticipated. I wasn't sure how well it was going to work. However, this cute little fountain is absolutely perfect for small gatherings and parties especially with kids. We used it on Easter and was a huge hit! You need to initially add quite a bit of chocolate in order to really get the flow going but if you follow the directions it works perfectly. I added some chocolate and following the directions to let out the air then added more and did it again and the flow was amazing. Great little machine, I would highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much Fun! The mini chocolate fountain works perfectly and doesn't take up a lot of room on a table. It is very easy to use. All you need is 6 oz of chocolate chips and two tablespoons of oil and melt it n a microwave. After the heater is on for 3 -5 minutes and the chocolate is added to the tray it starts flowing. The unit is compact but there is enough space for several people to dip fruit, pretzels or whatever snack they want, and have a delicious and fun dessert.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Little fun for everybody This gives little fun for everybody at home. You will have to heat up the chocolate separately. Pan and fountain is good size for four people, but not big enough for a feast. Mostly made of plastic except of heating pan. This is not top quality product but for a price, this gives everybody some fun after a meal. It works great, little slower for two kids eager for chocolate, but well, they need to be in control. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What FUN!!!! I see this as a departure for Homer’s main product line, but I have to admit that this is one of the few times I have ever been tempted to invite friends over to tryout anything I have bought at “my favorite toy store”. Let’s see, the Nostalgia mini chocolate fountain was truly “plug and play.” Literally no assembly required [OK I took it apart to clean it prior to my first use, but, come on, it IS a food contact surface.] The instructions [receipts?] could have been a little clearer. But we were having a riot dunking everything from strawberries, [yum] to onions [not so much] under the chocolate waterfall in just a few minutes from getting this little bugger home. Yes, you HAVE to dirty another dish to microwave the chocolate and oil up to temp, but don’t be tempted to wash that bowl just yet, because if your house is anything like my house you will be using it again … soon. Also, unless you are using Belgium chocolate, yes you need to add the oil to emulsify [fancy word for liquify] the CHOCOLATE to get it to “flow” over the waterfall, I like almond oil or walnut oil for the slight flavor boost. The auger lift mechanism is such an ingenious design, I might even lend it to my daughter to explain the theory of The Archimedes screw, to her class in an eatable lesson, or more likely I’ll just suggest she buy her own. Now excuse me, I hear chocolate calling my name!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good I was very disappointed in the size. The picture made it look bigger than it really was. Bought it for my daughter sweet 16 birthday party. I will not use it
