Customer Reviews

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 17 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Grand kids love it This machine works well. As in other reviews using the sugar that I bought for the machine it does not make a lot of cotton candy. Although I found if you take regular cane sugar and get concentrated Kool-Aid flavors and make your own sugar it makes more cotton candy than you can imagine . I would definitely recommend making your own sugar. May 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great purchase! We love this cotton candy maker. My daughter asked for one for her 8th birthday and after extensive research I had found that this particular one came with the best reviews. I had attempted to purchase this machine at 2 other sites and found that they were either out of stock and excessively priced with expensive shipping options. I was extremely pleased to find and purchase my item from Home Depot since I have been so fond of the store for quite some time. My shipment arrived at an amazing speed and in great condition. We love making cotton candy with the neighborhood children but have found that it is best for the kids to watch rather than attempt to spin the floss themselves, which they still love! April 30, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by All around great experience! Ordered the Nostalgia Electrics Cotton Candy Maker -PCM 805 for our son and his family for Christmas. Shipping was exteremly fast. The first one arrived with the clear plastic ring shattered...we attributed this to poor packaging by the Nostalgia company. Home Depot sent another right through to us, and it arrived in perfect condition. We used it for the first time with our grandsons (ages 6 and 4). It was very easy to use and also to clean. Worked great with both the flossing sugar and hard candy. We all had a blast with it, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Great buy! January 29, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great product for casual use! Took advice and let it heat up for about 20 minutes and it works great. Does take some time to make one so would take awhile for a big group. But absolutely great for casual use. Easy to use and easy to clean! January 13, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Totally fun I purchased this for my daughter as a Christmas gift. It's awsome and very fun. It does exactly as its supposed to. I recommend this product to all parents looking for something fun to do with their children. December 30, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by A lot more work than you think Makes good cotton candy, but can only use two pieces of candy at a time, thus creating a lot more work than I thought. It takes three minutes to warm up, then you have to stop it in order to put the candy in and then it takes about five or so minutes for all of it to spin out for candy the size of not even a tennis ball. Gets the job done though and is small for storage. September 20, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT FEATURES The ability to use sugar or hard candy made this a fun activity. The kids and adults love it. It works great and it is used frequently. November 13, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product for a home machine I purchased this product for my daughters birthday because it was much cheaper than renting a machine. I found that the machine makes a decent ammount of cotton candy, not as much as you would get in a bag from a carnival, but more than I expected from a home machine. When putting the candy on to the stick I discovered that the candy stayed fluffy if I held the stick over the machine and turned it rather than following the directions that came with the machine. When I tried using hard candy it did not give off as much floss as when I used cotton candy sugar and it was not as fluffy. I found flavor packets that you can add to sugar, to make your own for much less than buying ready made sugar, on that big auction site. The longer you let the machine warm up the better the cotton candy it made. I have run the machine for up to an hour at a time and it has not had any problems when used for such an extended period. I have used this machine many times and it still works great. I am very happy with this purchase. September 27, 2011
