Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ENM81 This awning was perfect to replace the 30+ year old similar one that was damaged by the heavy snow we had in New England this year. The material is not sturdy until it is all screwed together and then it feels ROCK SOLID!!! (some assembly required) Make sure you have a helper with this project as it cannot be tackled alone. The instructions were clear and easy for a layman to read. This item was purchased online without being able to touch or see it in the store, and the picture online was a good representation of the product! I Plan on buying another 2 within 6 months for a rental property.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Judy Aside from the 4 small screws missing and needed to attach the mounting rail, the installation took 2 hours.
Overall relatively easy to install. Except for the 4 small screws that were missing when trying to attach the mounting rail, all the materials and instructions were included in the shipping box. Our hope is it lasts as long as the one installed in 1980. That awning succumbed to Super Storm Sandy.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Becket Does a great job and looks good doing it.
Although the instructions left a lot to be desired (it took me a couple of times to figure out how to orient the components properly for assembly), and the pre-fabricated holes did not alway match-up, the finished product absolutely works like a charm and it looks great too. I am very pleased with the purchase.

Product was as described ,but it arrived (I had it shipped to my home) with minor dents along the one edge. Rather than go through hassle of returning it, I decided to just bend them back the best I could and install side rails over them. That dents were successfully hidden. Then I discovered one set of pre-drilled holes for the support rails under the awning were in the wrong place. So I had to drill my own holes. That leaves three holes with nothing in them. I filled them with silicon. I am a 48-year-old woman. I had no problem putting this together (although the directions weren't very descriptive) by myself. After installing it, I realize it is probably only a matter of time before a tree branch falls on it and takes it out. For the cost, $350, I could have bought enough lumber and shingles and built a sturdier roof. Now I wish I did. But this was convenient. I would only recommend this for a house in the city where there are no trees. Also, I would recommend picking it up at the store instead of having it delivered. I am sure the damage happened from standing the package on end. Package should have been labeled to keep on its side.
