This nailer is easy to operate and conveniently shoots all three types of flooring fasteners; flooring staples, T-Cleats, and L-Cleats ranging in size from 1-1/2 in. to 2 in. long. The NuMax nailer has a long handle that provides more comfortable use and the 2 interchangeable base plates allow you to install 1/2 in., 15/32 in., 5/8 in., 19/32 in., 3/4 in. and 25/32 in. tongue and groove wood flooring. The NuMax flooring nailer also comes with a non-marring white rubber mallet, oil and wrenches. The NuMax flooring nailer is backed by a one year warranty. Yes, this flooring nailer is air powered. Typically a 3- 6 gallon air compressor from your local Home Depot will be sufficient. Let us know if you have any further questions!

Answer:
Yes, it does require an air compressor. I don't think there are any manual ones anymore (like my dad used in the mid-1960's).

Answer:
YES THIS GUN WILL WORK ON 3/4 " MAPLE. THE AMOUNT OF FASTENERS USED IS BASED ON YOUR SUB FLOORING AND SHOULD BE SUBMITTED TO THE COMPANY THAT MANUFACTURED THE FLOORING BEING INSTALLED.

Answer:
Yes. I used it to install 3/4 in. red oak. Fortunately, the nailer comes with the 3/4 in. plate attached. So, I am sure it will work for maple. I used about 7,000 nails to install 800 sq. ft.. the width of the board was 2 1/4 in. If you are using a wider plank...you will use fewer nails.

Answer:
The installation guide that came with your flooring would be the best place to check that information. Typically, 2-4 cleats per square foot of flooring but that also depends on the width of the boards. This nailer can drive 16 gauge cleats. So, you will also want to check that the recommended size of the cleat is a 16 gauge for the Maple flooring.

Answer:
THIS DEPENDS ON YOUR SUB FLOORING AND THE TYPE OF FLOORING THAT YOU ARE INSTALLING. HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH THE FLOORING MANUFACTURER. THERE IS ALMOST ALWAYS A TOLL FREE NUMBER IN THE MANUFACTURER'S PAPERWORK.

Answer:
1 nail every 2.5 linear feet of board.
The width of your room divided by the width per board = the number of rows.
The number of rows X the length of the room = total linear feet.
6-8 small boxes of T-cleats @ approx. $20 / box.

Answer:
You should always check with the flooring manufacturer to see what they recommend in the installation guidelines. The average would be 2-4 cleats per square foot but that also depends on the width of the boards.

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 261 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Saved by the store This product came without the mallet then it broke very quickly. The store manager made it better and when I went to the store they replaced item with a huge upgrade. I felt guilty about taking it and tried to find alternatives that would work but in the end they kind of made me take the giant upgrade. I feel as though I have to use this location for all of my hardware needs now. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great nailer for the cost I had considered renting a flooring nailer but for the cost of this nailer, I do not have to worry about returning it, or how long I use it. I've put down about 100 sq ft and have had no issues with it so far. June 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Spot on right out of the box I work slow, so renting a flooring nailer was not a good option for me. Buying one is expensive, but it doesn't have to break the bank. This nailer had many good reviews, and I will add one more to the pile. I bought this nailer online, and it was delivered to my door in a week, maybe less. I attached the handle, gave it a bit of oil, air pressure at 90 psi and some L cleats. The first trial shots were perfect. In fact, every cleat I fired was perfect. Except for the one that I didn't hammer hard enough. The air drives the nails, but you need to give a good whack. It drives the nailer down, pushes the piece you're nailing into its mate and counteracts the nail driving force. This is a tough toool....no need to be gentle. December 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product I installed hardwood floors in a huge room and this tool made it so easy!! Everything you could need is included which is great for a single mom who doesn't have a lot tools... Only attritional thing you will have to purchase is the staples. May 31, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Let down I bought this for 700 square feet of oak hardwood flooring. So it worked great for about 500 square feet. Then it acted like it had a nail jam, but it just quite working. It was a big let down. June 7, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product for the money Product came on time, was very simple to assemble, and worked very well. A great value vs renting a similar item. Will pay back in just a few days and then can be used for future jobs. Just remember to either buy an air hose or get it with the compressor. I used a 10 gallon compressor with this tool at 100PSI. That was overkill for a realistic installation pace. A 5 gallon would have been sufficient. August 4, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It works I used it to install about 850 sq. ft. of unfinished 3/4" thick, 3 1/4" wide, oak. It worked great the whole time. It is loud but seems as loud as other nailers. I'm not a professional so I don't know if it would stand up to the abuse of every day work. April 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very impressed! I went out on a limb and bought this Numax floor stapler because it has such good reviews. I have zero regrets! This thing works like a champ. I just finished about 500sf of solid 3/4 red oak with no problems whatsoever. I had 800sf total and did the first 300sf with the floor stapler Home Depot rents for $32 for 24hrs. I could tell no difference, and I didn't have to worry about getting it back on time. I could also use the same 1 1/2" Bostitch staples I was using with the Home Depot rental (good thing cause I bought a case). With the wood I have left over I think I'll knock out the walk in closet. I own my own floor stapler! Smart purchase. April 7, 2013
