Answer:
It controls the main light, the night light and the heater, in that order. As far as what they look like, we went and bought one that would match our bathroom, I don't remember what came with the product.

The switch is a 2 gang box sized switch. One side is two horizontal rocker switches for the light and nightlight. The other side is a vertical rocker switch with red indicator light for the heat.

Answer:
Yes, it can. However, the insulation must be 2-3 feet away from the housing of the heater.

Answer:
This unit is a heater only. It has fan-forced heat, meaning there is a fan that blows hot air. It does not have a ventiliation function.

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Question: Can the heat be turned off so that we can use the exhaust and light in summer? Our basement bathroom has no wall space for a heater. We would like to use this as an option to heat it, but do not want it to pump out heat in the summer. Can the heat be switched off and still use the exhaust fan and light in the summer? June 23, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great now We have an average size master bathroom, not huge. We installed this product and at first the heater kept shutting off after less than a minute, so we contacted the company (not Home Depot) and they sent out a new part no problem. The unit works great now, heats the bathroom to a nice temperature. April 14, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NuTone 1500w ceiling heater/light I had a contractor install this as part of an upgrade to my MBR. So I can't speak of the ease of installation personally, but he said he was very pleased. It puts out a strong blast of warm air and heats up the bathroom very well- eliminating the floor heater entirely. April 7, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty quiet, but not enough heat The heater is quieter than I expected. The light is dim, but perfect for a dimly lit bath. Heater just doesn't work that well in a large bathroom (about 100 sq ft), unless all doors are shut to prevent drafts. I think it would work really well in a smaller bathroom. February 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works better than I hoped The fan makes noise but I use it when I 'm showering so it doesn't matter. it heats my 10x10 bathroom in a brief time. February 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great product I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE THAT NEEDED A HEAT AND LIGHT FOR THEIR BATHROOM. February 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nu Tone Heater and Light combo came on time and as we ordered. Easy on line ordering October 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So far has performed very well. Installed easily, we were replacing same product that did not perform well, it over heated & cut off after a few seconds. The new unit has done much better & appears to be working correctly. We have the same unit in the second bath which has worked perfectly for several years. Very happy so far. May 27, 2014
