my fan opening is 6 5/8 x 8 1/4. do they make them for this size opening (house built in 1955).

Asked by: tomato
Thank you for your question about housing dimensions. We appreciate your business. That's a very small housing. The smallest housing we have today would be 8" x 8-1/4" x 5-3/4" D. You can go to our web-site, and look up the following model: 80NT. If you have further questions, please call our Technical Support Department at 888-336-6151. Thanks, again.

110 CFM Wall/Ceiling Utility Exhaust Fan is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from quiet fan runs quiet draws up moisture very well .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Much better than no fan. It is powerful and gets the job done. It's kind of loud, but that's not always a bad thing in a bathroom. =)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fan for the price The fan arrived in four days. It was easily installed and worked great. The CFM is more than double builder grade fans and really moves air. This is a great deal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerhouse Exhaust We had this installed as a replacement for our old exhaust fan. As powerful as it is, it's much quieter than I expected. Does a great job!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Moves lots of air but LOUD While this product does move a ton of air, it is VERY LOUD. Luckily, I plugged in the fan to an extension cord and found this out before installing the stupid thing -- I will be returning the two that I bought. I bought this product because other reviewers said it was quieter than their previous fans -- it is not, unless your current fan is louder than an aircraft taking off. If you actually look at the "Sones" sound rating, this one is a 4 (aka load), where as better ones are 1 or 2, or some fans go as low as .5 (this is on the box -- on the Home Depot website it will only say "1 or less"). Do yourself a favor -- pay a bit more to get a quieter fan, unless noise is 100% not an issue, and CFM and money are very important. In that case, this would be a good fan. As it turns out, for my size of a bathroom (< 45 sqft) a smaller fan would do, and so I installed it instead -- see below for the link to that one. That one works great, was cheaper (but lower CFM) and is super super super quiet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Construction ; A little louder than expected I installed this fan in a small condo bathroom that tends to trap a lot of moisture during a shower. The 110 CFM moves a lot of air and makes a big difference in the moisture build-up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice fan I have been pleased with this fan. It is a little more high powered that what I needed for my small-ish bathroom, but I like it because the mirror does not even fog up. The sound is like a normal bath fan sound - not quiet, but not overly loud.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does everything a fan should do. We moved into a house that had no fan in the restroom. The steam on the mirrors was irritating. After the fan was installed I told my friend "the good news is there is no fog on the mirror when I get out of the shower, and the bad news is since there is no fog on the mirror I can see how fat I am-haha.
