We do not have an upgrade kit to fit your fan. However, we do sell the replacement fan assembly. It is part # S97012029. It can be ordered at the Special Order Desk at your local Home Depot store.

None that I can see for that specific model but the grill should be big enough to cover the hole. You could try one to see if the guts would work, it comes with two different inside plates and one motor. It is very easy to replace.

Answer:
In my installation the noise level was decreased noticeably, but it's certainly not silent. You'll have to spend the big bucks for a top-of-the-line Nutone, Broan, Panasonic, etc. for that.

Answer:
No. This upgrade kit still operates at a 3.0 sone level.
As a comparison, a new refrigerator operates at approx. 1.0 sones.
If you want a silent, or almost silent, fan then you would need to purchase a model from our QT series fans.

Answer:
It should work, the box says that this upgrade kit will only fit the following models:
Broan 670, 671, 688, & 689 - The kit will work if your housing measures either 7½” x 7¼”
In my opinion, you would probably want to replace the whole thing with what's in the box.

All work can be done from a step stool in the room itself without need to crawl in the attic because the outer casing of the exhaust fan remains intact. Honestly, this kit was one of the best investments I've ever made in home repair.
I ordered my kit online from Home Depot and picked it up at the store, all in a period of about 3 hours. It was finished within a half hour of my returning home! I've included two photos to show my 690NT upgrade kit fully installed. Read Less

One note; I decided not to install the scroll band (a flexible plastic strip designed to improve/contain airflow within the fan housing). It didn't fit very tightly in my existing fan housing, and eventually slipped out of position and hit the impeller. You don't need it, but if you want it, you can always glue it in place. All in all, a much better solution than tearing my ceiling apart to retrofit a completely new fan housing in place of the old unit. Read Less

Hi, Mike. Thanks for your question. The 690NT Up-Grade Kit will work with several Nutone Models: 693, 695, and 696N. Our older 695 never had a "P"-version, but I feel fairly confident that it will work. However, If you would like to discuss this further, please contact our Technical Support group at the following toll-free number: 888-336-6151. Thanks, again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent and very easy Our house was built in 1994 and our bathroom fan was so loud when I saw this replacement fan I figured I would try it. If no good I would send back well to my surprise it was so easy when I was done I check everything to make sure I installed it correct. Very quiet and moves the air better then older fan thank you for making this fan kit for us D.I.Y. people didn't want to have to go in attic and replace the whole unit. January 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by well worth it !!!!! When they say easy to install that's just what they say. It took me more time to clean the housing before installing the new unit. A flat tip screw driver really help in the taking out the old unit to release the tab. Baring getting the ladder, screw drive and taking the new unit out of the box it took me 10-to-15 minutes to install the new fan and mounting plate. It is much quitter at least 50% and does clear the steam much better then then the old one. The motor magnate's are twice the size of the old one and the fan is much bigger with at least 5 times more blades. I took a paper towel and it was held to the fan when turn on, excellent product, !!!!!!!!!!! November 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Absolutely Perfect My old bath fan died. Since it was over 30 years old, I was concerned that I would not be able to replace the fan without having to tear out the old fan housing from the ceiling and reinstalling a new one with all the attendant mess involved in that. This part was absolutely perfect. It fit within the old fan housing. It was very easy to install and by virtue of the fact that it uses a drum to move the air rather than a conventional fan blade, it is quieter and moves more air than the old fan assembly did. With the new fan escutcheon, the fan looks brand new. The kit far exceeded expectations. December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lifesaver! Our ancient Nutone 696N fan finally died. It is over 15 years old. This "upgrade" kit is so utterly simple to use. It comes with two different mounting plates which accommodate a variety of models. All you have to do is match your plate type, screw the motor assembly to that plate with the two nuts provided, and pop this assembly into your existing housing (of course you have to pull out your old fan assembly). The whole process, including reading the excellent instructions, took all of 10 minutes. The fan is quiet and has better coverage than my older fan. The grille cover is better looking than most and looks upgraded. I was so thrilled with the design of this kit that I immediately ordered 3 more to replace all the other bathroom exhaust fans in my home. November 26, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by New life for an old exhaust fan easy install w/o climbing into the attic and less noise than old fan. January 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great update This was easy to do myself. Although at the end, the tabs did not fit completely into one side of the housing. My dad used some pliers to bend the tabs outward so they popped into the slots. Otherwise, this was very simple. December 23, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Upgrade Idea The perfect fix for that half-broken old exhaust fan. The upgrade indeed gives higher performance than the old. The upgrade is easy. I put in two in less than an hour. And the value, about one third of putting in a new fan. December 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Fan! This is my 2nd time buying this upgrade bath fan. the 1st lasted over15 years before it started getting noisier and needed replaced. I use it for at least hour every day (wall switch is a timer) and when my 2 boys lived here even longer! It is quieter and moves more air then the stander fan, not sure how much more.
