Bought this elsewhere but thought I'd review it here since it's the same item. The installation is easy for normal houses, the house I installed in was far from normal and has no attic so it was not easy for me, but did not remove stars for that.
The fan sounds like it's moving a good amount of air. The outlet has a lot of air coming out but I do not feel the air getting sucked through the grate. I still have steam issues after the install. I also noticed the air appears to get sucked more from the side the fan is on rather than the empty side. Not sure if flipping the fan will resolve the steam issue since the shower is on the opposite side of the fan but I am unable to flip the fan due to my limitations.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by HOS401 Turned out to be a very expensive light
I am trying to remodel my guest bathroom, and wanted to install an exhaust system. I purchased the Nutone 70 CFM Ceiling Exhaust Fan with Light because I really liked its appearance and especially because the manufacturer stated that it was easy to install. Problem: you must have a 15-amp circuit devoted entirely to this fan/light, or it will pop the circuit breaker every time. In my home, I would have to install a completely new circuit, which would require a tremendous amount of work (crawling under my home and drilling into my circuit breaker box). I think the manufacturer should specify that a special circuit needs to be provided for this fan.

I purchased this to replace an old fan in my bathroom that didn't work. Installation was a breeze but I have access to my ceiling joists through the attic and electrical hook up was easy. The fan is listed at 4.0 sones but I think it is even louder than that. I fastened this fan to the joists and insulated it to absorb some noise and it is still loud. It does not clear the air well at all and I will not buy another. The only reason I give it 2 stars was the ease of installation.

We have an extremely small bathroom and thought this was all we would need, but it's exhaust strength is less than that of an asthmatic turtle!! We have to have the window cracked year round and we still have black mold/mildew on the ceiling, walls and door frames!! Don't waste any money on this low of a model .... invest in a stronger fan!

I purchased this for a guest bathroom. It's works great in getting the heat/steam out. It's a little louder than I am used to but I knew that in reading the specs and figured since it was for a guest bath that is rarely used, it would be fine. And it is!

Do not buy this light and fan. I bought it about 2 years ago and first the light socket shorted out and had to be replaced. Now the fan has stopped working.

For the money, this fan is a pretty good deal. It was relatively easy to install, once we figured out the instructions (the pictures were a little confusing). Since we have a small bathroom, the fan provides adequate ventilation.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by melaudy Great except for one major problem
Except for one short period of time (so far) it has worked fine and does the job very well. Unfortunately there was a period of a few days when turning on the switch turned on the light but the fan failed to run. It has resumed working normally but I never know when the fan will fail again. Original warranty expired even though the unit was installed just over 2 years ago.
