Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by BR549 Installed and working as described
I installed this fan about a month ago and it is working just fine and we are enjoying the heater very much. It is noisy but it makes no claim otherwise.
The two complaints are on the installation. For 'installating in existing construction' (quoting from page 3 of the manual) t wasn't entirely clear where to attach the unit to the header. I finally figured out what to do or at least what works. Please ignore the ceiling finish in the photo, that's another project.
The real annoyance was the wiring instructions. Everything fits fine and works fine but Figure 2 seems to be backwards from the way the cover plate is pre-labeled (see attached pictures). Definitely check before wiring everything up and installing. It wasn't until I put the cover plate on that I found out it was exactly reversed or at least that is how it struck me.

Very attractive fixture with plenty of light output and the fan and heater work great. The heater heats up my bathroom in a couple of minutes.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ultrawriter Amazingly easy to replace guts of unit in existing housing
We had two older NuTone units this model, and the heater unit went bad and fan was failing too. I ordered a replacement shipped to the house and this morning started what I thought might be a difficult installation, or one that would make me give up and hire somebody. But 20 minutes later the new unit is installed and working great. I had read a review from someone here (thanks whoever you are) about using the old housing and just swinging the new fan/heater/light unit into position. Worked like a charm. The modular plug design of the electrical connection makes it easy and safe to reconnect the new unit.
The fact that the new unit came installed in its new housing in the box gave me practice loosening two screws and then tilting and sliding the unit to unhook the bracket holding the heater exhaust side to the new housing (which we are not using). That done, it was a simple matter of doing the same thing to remove and lower the dead unit from its housing in the ceiling of the bathroom (after unplugging the electrical connector), then reverse the process, hook the exhaust side to the housing, tighten the two screws on the opposite side, reconnect the electrical plug, replace the cover, turn the circuit breaker back on and start the unit. Fan and heater run quietly again and all is well.
It took me nearly as long to type this installation review as it did to install the replacement unit! I can't comment yet on durability of the unit (the old ones have been here since long before we bought this house 9 years ago), but just wanted anyone here on the fence about going the replacement-guts route to know it can be done by just about anyone. I am not all that handy, for what it's worth. Impressive design.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Shelly I will never buy NuTone products again.
Ordered NuTone 9093WH from Home Depot in December 2014 and had it installed and it appeared to be working, however it was a rather hot day when it was installed. Within a few days, we noticed it was not heating properly and some coils (but not all) were glowing orange. Unit began to smell bad. Since it was not a Home Depot store purchase but a mail order purchase, our only option was to contact the manufacturer. Contacted NuTone and they said that we had to work with one of their local companies. We contacted them and have been in contact with them numerous times, including contacting NuTone multiple times. We have been told various things from the unit is on the way, the wrong replacement unit was sent, the unit is on backorder. We have an expensive piece of junk in the bathroom and cannot safely use the heater, vent, or light for about 6 months now. I could say, to heck with the money on the unit and the installation and start over, but this is really pathetic. On top of that, this NuTone units requires a rather large hole in the ceiling, so that would have to be patched for any of the competitor products I have found. I will never buy NuTone again and I will be very hesitant to purchase from Home Depot online for anything that I can't return to the store.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gerry 2nd time around - perfection
We bought one of these in 2001 and it's worked up until last year. I found an exact replacement of the model - required because of the large hole needed to accommodate the fan housing - and it still works with the original wiring/switches. All we had to do to replace it was undo two set screws, unplug the wiring harness, and take out the old unit. The new unit swung right up into the old housing and everything fit and worked perfectly. The best part is that the old one was getting rattly after a few years and the new fan is free of any metallic rattle - the fan sound is considered 'loud' (3.0 sones) but it pushes a lot of air for that, and it's just white noise, nothing annoying at all. Highly recommended!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by happyclam123 Love It!
Love love love this vent. We have one in our bathroom, which is mostly tile walls, and there is a window in the shower. It gets very cold in the winter, and what I do is when the alarm goes off in the morning, I hit snooze, run to the bathroom and turn on the heat. Then 9 minutes later, when the alarm goes off again, the bathroom is nice and warm, and I am ready for my morning shower. Can't live without this product!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bigdaddy Made cheaply
Bought to replace the exact same unit. The newer one is made much more cheaply. Sheet metal is very flimsy and galvanized. Previous model was a thicker metal with coating to stop rust.
Not too loud.
Heat works well.
Last one lasted 14 yrs. Minot sure this one will last as long
