Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good fan but louder than expected Fan works well and installed easily but is louder than expected. It also has a rhythmic hum that sounds like a the fan might be 'off' a little. Not the best fan in the world but it is a good value. June 30, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not Recommended Purchased to install in an existing small bathroom with no exhaust fan. Installation was relatively easy since the electrical was already there and only a couple of feet from outside wall (used through the wall vent). However, I would not recommend this fan/light combo because the fan is noisy and the light is dim. Requires an expensive flourescent bulb (not included) and just doesn't put out much light. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Light died after only a couple months We've had this unit only a couple months. We had lost the original paperwork/instructions that came with the unit, so to find the model number I had to look through Home Depot's selection. This is the only NuTone unit (that looks like the one we have) that is sold in the store near us, so by a process of elimination I determined this must be the one we have. However, online it says this unit doesn't come with a bulb, and our's did (a specialty CFL bulb). Now to the review: The fan itself is strong but a bit noisy. It seems to clear the air much faster than our older unit. Problem is, the light gave out recently and to get it to go back on we have to take the cover off and press on the bulb. That buys you about 15 minutes of light before it dies again. We're going to see if we can replace the bulb, but so far we can't figure out how to get the bulb out of the receptacle. There are no instructions on line on how to do this, so we may be out of luck even trying a new bulb if we can't figure out how to get the dang thing out! You would think it would be a simple plug in bulb, but you can't get it out by pulling on it. I'm pretty sure its not the bulb, anyway, otherwise it would be out all the time and pressing on it wouldn't help. Its a headache to deal with, as it wasn't a simple installation. Big mistake buying this unit! I gave it 2 stars only because the fan is stronger than the one we replaced. June 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bathroom Fan This fan was a replacement for the same fan installed previously. We were satisfied and wanted the same replacement. It fit perfectly and I would recommend it for anyone. April 28, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bad design - Bad value I've installed lots of fans and I've installed this one a few times. Recently I got to looking at what a bad design this was. It was either intentionally designed to try to upsell you to a different model or was a project that someone banged out but never expected to actually go into production. The fan itself works. It doesn't move a lot of air but it works. It's loud. This kind of fan would be better for a utility space, just don't plan to use the light as the sole source of light. The light is the bigger problem. It uses a specialty bulb that is very expensive, not commonly available (there is no getting this thing at the grocery store) and puts out ineffective light. It is not bright enough to be used by itself and not dimmable for use as a mood light. Of course, the bulb is not included. The installation is pretty straightforward but the design of the cover makes is so that the enclosure has to be very close to the edge of the drywall. On most fans there is some tolerance for how you mount the enclosure. Not so on this one. Look for a different fan. At this point, I'm not even sure I'll buy this brand again. I'll have to look at them. June 23, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by New bathroom fan It is so wonderful to have a new fan and light in the bathroom! This fan is quiet and the light is nice and bright without being blinding, I recommend it to everyone! October 19, 2009
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great! Nice powerful little unit, my bathroom is a litte on the small side so it clears it up pretty quick. Noise is there, but nothing to bother me. I would replace with the same one and thinking of adding the same one to my work area. March 10, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Missing parts Last one on shelf, box open so I asked a HD Rep in that Department to confirm all the parts were included. She even printed me an Instruction sheet but it is missing the lamp and bolt...already installed and newly tiled. I'll be walking in today in hopes of retrieving. February 3, 2015
