This range hood is awesome. It looks so perfect with my new Home Depot hickory cabinets. It is very efficient and not noisy at all. Another great product from my favorite store. Thanks HD for the wonderful choices and great quality at prices we can afford.

I tried to find a hood for my 30" stove for some time. I had to do all the leg work at Home Depot, because when I asked they said they didn't have any in my color with charcoal filters. In fact, I did find one. I would have liked a model with more features, but this one is fine.

Quick delivery, easy installation, works as stated, just remember to order 2 lights and if you are not going to use exterior exhaust you will need 2 charcoal filters which you need to replace every couple of months. Only negative is that this is not a plug in unit.

I had ordered a much less expensive hood that the installer found damaged when he opened the box. I hurriedly bought one (at twice the price) from Home Depot so that it could be installed while he was still on site. The difference in quality was amazing and well worth the extra money..

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bmorefixup quiet, efficient, and attractive
We purchased this hood on sale, so it was considerably less expensive, but it is a very nice addition to our kitchen, very quiet and works well; even though ours is not vented to the outside and we had to substitute the carbon filters. I would suggest you investigate getting LED bulbs instead of the halogen floodlights the manufacturer recommends, our Home Depot salesman steered me in that direction and I am very glad that he did.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by MLB Well made but of questionable performance
The overall appearance and build-quality is high. I like the fact that the filter system completely covers the underside (other than the lights of course). It makes for a nice appearance and prevents getting other parts of the underside dirty from greasy fumes.
The fan is quiet at low speed and reasonably quiet at high speed. I do like the two brightness levels for the lights as well.
The output duct is built primarily for a 3 1/4" x 10" output (don't quote me on this exact size; going by memory). It can be adapted for 7" round and includes the collar for doing so. It can also be adapted for ductless venting as well (would vent out the top right back into the room).
My main issue with this hood is that the filter/vent area sits back a little further than I now think it should be in order to be effective, I think it should be installed on the low end of the recommended height-range. I have mine set fairly high right now in test-mode with no cabinet above it. Once I build and install my cabinet, I will look to bring it down to maybe 24" (or even less) above the top of my stove. As it is right now, it does not do a great job of pulling fumes from pots on the front edge of the stove (sitting at 27" above cook-top).

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Burn Nice Vent Hood - not perfect for non vented hood
Bought this range hood for an older house without existing direct venting ducts. Planned to use it for ventless and the recommended installation guide I add a charcoal filter. HD had the filters there in stock on the shelf, I have checked at three different HD's in two cities and all had the filter. The range hood nor the add on charcoal filter had the required clips to hold the filter in place. The charcoal filter kit also instructs and pictures the clips but no clips in the filter or the range hood box. Employees at all three HDs have not been able to help. NUTONE brand filter add on should have the clips. NUTONE, whats the story?

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by baronTox Natural Back Draft...
There are three very bad design factors associated to this hood...
1. 9" fan, 7" circular vent or 9x3 rectangular vent... <> 9" circular air flow
2. 9" fan is mounted so there is a 1/2" gap between frame and fan edges. This creates a blow back zone that is noticeable on low and utterly unacceptable at high fan speeds.
3. Single fan and 2" gap between filters and fan. This allows for cavitation zone within the 9" space between the hood edge and the fan, which reinforces the DOWN DRAFT...
So, if you are looking for a hood that vents the air to the OUTSIDE of your house, do not buy this hood.
