Allure I Series 30 in. Convertible Range Hood in Black is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 308.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk Range Hood Poorly mass produced range hood. If details matter to you avoid this hood. The par 20 sockets are spot welded too low putting the light bulb hanging out of the hood. The interior of this hood has way too many production holes punched out that bleed out air. The motor mount bracket is also spot welded at an angle that causes motor impeller wheel imbalance and noise above the typical expected rating. Watch out you will see these hoods offered cheap around certain sales Home Depot has. This model was used in a vented application, but inspecting the plastic ducting that is recirculated to the slots on the top I would expect it to be even noisier in an unvented application.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Product if you dont actually use it! This hood I bought as an upgrade with my new range. It looks beautiful and the lighting is wonderful but that's it. I bought the charcoal filter pads thinking the unit was going to pull the smoke and steam through, filter it and push it out the top. Because of the design of this unit 90% of the smoke and steam gets pulled through around the lights thus filtering nothing. So the lights get covered in grime and i can only imagine what the inside is going to look like. But it was simple to install and looks nice, those are the only pros. Ohh and it is quiet. So if anyone gave this product a great review it is because they do not actually use their stove for cooking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from quiet, efficient, and attractive We purchased this hood on sale, so it was considerably less expensive, but it is a very nice addition to our kitchen, very quiet and works well; even though ours is not vented to the outside and we had to substitute the carbon filters. I would suggest you investigate getting LED bulbs instead of the halogen floodlights the manufacturer recommends, our Home Depot salesman steered me in that direction and I am very glad that he did.

It fit near perfectly in the old spot with the exception of the back wall vent which was slightly lower that the new one. So now my new hood cants a bit upward in the front, something which I may fix someday by shimming the front of the cabinet a little. Other than that it is very quiet compared to my old one and the 2 led lights are so much better than the old incandescent which was more of a night light than anything you could cook by.

The two small lights are not enough, they only show the front burners on stove. I like the double filters, but had to purchase the charcoal ones that go under the regular filters, they are an additional 25.00, and no one stocks them, have to order through store. I plan to see if my daughter wants this one and look for a more quieter one, and with better lighting. Other than that, it's really nice looking.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poorly designed plastic springs to hold filters in place We have had the unit for several years and found it excellent except that the filters are held in place by weak plastic springs that are easily broken. This is, in my opinion, a serious design problem and makes the unit worthless when it breaks unless fixed. I was able to fix it by cutting a slot in the back of each filter and sliding a leaf spring designed for a window screen into the slot. I would recommend this unit only if you are prepared to repair this design error yourself.

I just talked to Broan/NuTone technical support. They say this is acceptable for their specs. Wish they had been honest and let us know ahead of time. Unit also does not have the power to clear the kitchen air. Not what I'm used to. Also, WARRANTY is only for parts, NOT labor. My mistake. I did not check the fine print.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Range Hood ! Love the hood. This is an upgrade to our original hood and the dual fans are what we needed for heavy home cooking. Note: range hood does not come with 2 light bulbs, or with the 2 required metal filters. Expect to pay about $12 per, $25 for a set of filters and another $25 for a set of charcoal filters which I highly recommend.
