Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Picard Very Good Fan & Light
I bought this to replace my old fan that did not have a light. Total time it took me to take out my old fan and install this one was about 50 minutes. If you are even just mediocre-handy you can easily install this without hiring someone. There are many things I like about this unit. The appearance is excellent! Unless you are standing 3 feet from it you would have no idea its a fan and not just a light fixture. People will be wowed when you tell them its the bathroom fan. This is due to slight gaps being used instead of noticeable grills like other decorative fans which was a great call by the designers. The air movement is definitely better than my old fan, the 80 CFM it says on the box is accurate. I have a medium sized bathroom and my mirror is usually completely dry while showering, sometimes just a little moisture. Just make sure (like with any fan) that you seal any holes in the metal box and seal the box to the drywall to make sure air is being pulled from the room and not from inside the ceiling. Duct tape is an easy and inexpensive way to do this. The 2.0 sone rating is also accurate. I would definitely call it a medium noise level. But unless you are looking for something super quiet, the noise on this one will not bother you and you really won't think twice about it. And as for the value, you can't beat it! I would have expected to pay more for this.
There are a few reasons why I only gave this 4 stars instead of 5. First, the instructions that came in the box are complete garbage. The only thing you will be able to figure out from the instructions is how to attached the light fixture part to the fan box. However, there are many good YouTube videos out there and after watching one 2-minute video I was easily able to install the unit on my own. Second, the dimensions on the box say 8" x 8-1/4" and I thought great it will just fit into the existing hole from my old fan. Well, not exactly. The inside of the fan box measures 8" x 8-1/4", but the outside to outside fan box measurement add on almost another 1/2". And lastly, the light bulbs supplied burn at a very cold white color. Which basically means its a very unnatural white. But at least they were nice enough to supply the bulbs for you. Just be aware that this unit does not take your typical screw in bulbs so if you want more natural colored light it will be more difficult and expensive to find a solution.
Overall I am very happy with this unit and recommend it to anyone who wants something that looks state of the art and performs well.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Chris1683 Great fan, simple installation, super quiet, bright lights!
I bought this to replace a 40 year old Nutone Fan in which the motor started failing. The install was simple and the fan is super quiet! The lights are very bright however I deducted one star because this fixture uses GU24 lights which are not your standard light bulb. There are converters for this on Amazon for 6.99 however they should have used the standard E27 light which is the most common bulb. That being said, the fan is worth the money and looks great!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by VentGuy Looks Great, very quiet
This was a replacement for an old ugly plastic vent fan which the motor had gone bad in. Installation was very easy since there was already a hole in the ceiling. Two points: The metal baseplate is made of thin metal, so it will warp somewhat if your ceiling is not completely flat. Might be a concern in older houses. Also, this takes a GU24 bi-pin style light bulb, probably to prevent you from using incandescents in the fixture. This style isn't terribly common, but two are included in the box, but they are the cold white sort. I was able to find soft white LED bulbs to fit. It's much quieter than the old fan, but still moves a decent amount of air.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LosRubios Easy to install, quiet fan and has plenty of light
We bought this fan/light combo to bring our bathroom up to code during a remodel. It was very easy to install and delivers a good level of light with a quiet, effective fan for our 8' x 11' bathroom. It goes very well with our oil rubbed bronze fixtures and is an ideal companion for our skylight which it is mounted next to.
Since we didn't have an extractor fan to begin with, and we were remodeling the entire bathroom with new walls and ceiling, installation was relatively straightforward. The metal box that the fan motor sits in requires screwing or nailing to a 6" high piece of wood and we used a 2 x 6 to anchor it. The mounting box comes with some very handy depth marks which help you set it to the correct height for a 1/2" or 5/8" thick ceiling if you're putting it in a new installation like we were. We used 1/2" drywall on the ceiling and these marks were spot on for the depth of the box with the ceiling fitted.
We used a piece of semi flexible 4" clothes dryer tubing to vent the fan through the ceiling void to an outside wall with a 4" hose clip to keep the exhaust vent pipe firmly held in place.
Wiring up was straightforward and it has separate circuits for the fan and the light with good instructions about what color wire runs which part of the fan/light. Instead of using the Nutone dual switch we opted for a less expensive Leviton 15 amp dual switch and this works perfectly well although if you're using an existing single switch/wiring, the Nutone switch may be a better solution.
I don't really care for the light from the supplied CFL bulbs so we purchased a couple of GU24 to E26/27 adapters online which allow us to run LED bulbs instead of the CFL bulbs. We find this produces a softer light and all you need to do is make sure that the combined watts of the LED bulbs don't exceed the 24 watts maximum of the fitting. In our case, the LEDs are 9.5 watts each so well within the limit.
The fan itself is very quiet and does a good job of keeping our bathroom dry when we're using the shower.
My only complaint is that the vibration from our roof mounted a/c package unit can cause the glass lens mounting nut to loosen which results in the glass dome vibrating against the body of the light fitting when our a/c switches on. I may have to use a small amount of PTFE tape on the mounting threads to stop the nut from loosening.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MonticelloNY Great fan
Bought this and installed last year to replace 30 year old fan with no light. As for lights, the two pin connectors are to ensure energy savings by using cfl bulbs (many newer fixtures are using them now). I bought two adapters on Amazon to convert to screw in and am using 60 watt equivalent LEDs, this keeps the wattage down to 20 as drawing more than 26 can be a fire hazard in gu24 fixtures. Plenty bright. (If you buy the adapters, do not use incandescent bulbs)
At first fan was noisy when reduced to original 3 inch duct. Now I changed to 4 inch insolated duct and fan is quiet, besides now it gets 79% more airflow and can hold a tissue while running. Also the original duct had 2 bees nests blocking airflow and 5 holes exhausting air in the attic, glad I upgraded the ductwork and found those issues as well.
So my advice is to know what you are doing before complaining. There are ways to increase the light output while staying within the specs and make sure the duct is proper before saying it doesn't work right or is noisy.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dana Outstanding fan and looks great!
Couldn't be happier with this light/fan. It looks nice and works fantastically. I turn it on before hopping in the shower and when I come out the mirror is still clear! No condensation whatsoever. Woohoo! I also never heard of any complaints about installation. I purchased this in-store with the help of my contractor. He told me the numbers on the box about the fan were great and it looked nice, so we got it.

I like the performance of this fan. It replaced a NuTone that I'd had a lot of problems with over the years; the motor seizing up and the plastic blower shaft clips malfunctioning causing the blower to loosen up and jam the motor. I had to replace them both too many times. The one minor thing about this new one is that I'd like it to be a bit more powerful, more CFMs. But it works well, and looks great and is very quiet-running. I'm knocking on wood right now... Lol
