Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bill73 Reasonably priced, straight-forward to install, works well
I needed a white "ceiling hugger" fan for our family room. Based on the description, this one appeared to be just what I needed, the price was reasonable, and other reviews were positive, so I bought it.
Although the "hanging" technique of installation was one I hadn't seen before, it worked quite well, and installation went pretty smoothly.
The fan is perfectly balanced (no wobble whatsoever), and runs quietly. It's just what I wanted to make the room more comfortable when it's not hot enough for the air conditioning, but warn enough that with no air movement the room feels a little "close". Wish I'd had it back in the spring.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Monika The fan does not have a finished look
The reason I do not recommend this fan is it does not hug ceiling, a slim trim around the base would be perfect to conceal a gap between the ceiling and a base. My electrician had to bend brackets to try to eliminate the gap and it's still there. I thought they forgot to include trim in the package so I called the manufacturer. First representative did not have any knowledge whether this fan comes with a trim and was pretty rude. Second guy said they definitely do not come with a trim. I chose not to bother with returning the product, because of the dismantling and further installation cost ( I bought two). However I must say they are pretty quiet and move air fairly well.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Gerri Ordered 2- one quiet one noisy.
I ordered online and received fans quickly. Installed first one and was vary happy with it. Quiet yet moved air better than the previous fan which was a 4 blade 42 inch Hampton Bay Littleton. Littleton was quieter- made almost no noise at all, this one has a slight hum to the motor. Then we installed the second fan. It made a lot more noise than the first. Motor hummed loudly (could be heard in the next room) and there were funny clicking noises. We checked our installation for errors to account for the noise and it was definitely the fan motor. Called the fan company and they told us to call Home Depot. Home depot said return the fan to any store and then they will process an order for a new one. Received the new one and it's almost as quiet as the first. Certainly better then the one we returned. If we installed the other fan first and heard that noise we never would have installed the second one.
Therefore, if you get a fan that seems noisy- return it and get another.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by ncecs It rings and smells
The price was right. A close-to-the-ceiling fan that moves a good amount of air. Installation was pretty easy (I've installed many dozens of fans). Unfortunately, the outer shell that hides the motor and connections rings! It's like a bell or brass 'ringing-bowl'. The faster the fan, the more it rings. Probably some silicone on the inner surface would have stopped this. Obviously not tested in development. Also, for two weeks after installation, the paint on the motor gave off noxious fumes as the motor heated up. Eventually this subsided. Again, where was the development testing?

We installed two of these in our new upstairs bedrooms.
What a difference they made.
Quiet, stable and very understated.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by phrnburke The fan runs quietly on low and medium speeds.
After reading several reviews I decided to buy this fan and I'm happy and pleased with this purchase. The fan runs quietly on low and medium speeds and produces good air circulation at all 3 three speeds. At high speed it does make some noise.

It is close to the ceiling which is what I wanted and keeping me cool which is also what I wanted so it's perfect - also quiet which is also nice.
