I removed a Nutone bath fan with bad bearings. It had 2 1/2 inch clear between cover and ceiling when cover tension wire is attached. The Nutone XN110L doesn't have enough clearance to get a finger between cover and ceiling. I had to use a long pair of needle nosed pliers to get tension wire in slot. The wire to lights is too short also, had to use tool to push in, because my finger wouldn't fit between cover and ceiling. DON'T BUY THIS MODEL

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Puma55 very quiet and easy to install
I bought this to replace an existing noisy unit. I had attic access so installation was easy. Wiring was easy, I just labeled the wires that came off of the original (which wires to the fan and light) and hooked them up the same way. The exhaust pipe is 6”, which is tight in my space, but I managed. The light is fluorescent and has that color and is bright, but I also have incandescent in the bathroom which mitigates the color. I did not hook up the night light. I installed a timer switch too – the fan is so quiet I don’t realize it is on.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by jomoz Quiet and efficient
This fan and light was easy to install. The instructions were straight forward and easy to follow. It is amazing how the fan pulls the air out so quietly and efficiently. The mirror has not fogged up since I installed it. I can only hope it lasts a long time, it works very well.

Relatively easy to install. You will need two power supply lines. That slowed down the installation, wish I had realized this was needed before I got started. Once the new line was run, installing the fan was easy. This thing works very well too. My bathroom is 105 square feet, and with this fan running, I have not been able to fog the mirror at all, even with running a very hot shower. Overall, very pleased.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by CompanyGuy Very, very quiet fan, install a bit finicky, weird delay when turned on
Nice fan overall and very quiet once install is figured out. The standard 4" vent creates too much resistance and causes a strange vibration/noise when the airflow sensor increases the fan speed to maintain 110 CFM. Problem was solved by going with a 6" vent. It is a DC powered fan which leads to ~ 5 second delay when fan switch is turned on. Not a big issue once you are aware, but guests and renters will probably think the fan just doesn't work and turn the switch off before the fan gets started.

Never would I have imagined I would spend over $200 on an exhaust fan, but I have three kids who shower no less than once a day at thirty minutes a pop and my old fan could no longer keep up. I bought this hoping to keep the fan noise down and the steam from billowing out of the bathroom when they come out. Well I hired a pro to install. glad I did. and he came downstairs and said that is one of the best fans I have ever installed it is so quite he had to put a tissue under it to see if it was really working...... and it sucked that tissue right up to the fan and held it. awesome. no regrets

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Basketball65 Nice Unit
Installation instructions good. Wiring might be a challenge for those without electrical experience. You need to run a piece of 14-4 (or two pieces of 14-2) cable to the unit. Light is bright, bulbs included. Fan is quiet, so you wonder how much air it is moving. I installed it with the Leviton humidity sensing wall switch. We'll see if it cures my mold issue. Only complaint is the ceiling finish cover which is mounted to the unit with an expanding retention spring similar to that used on a trim unit to a recessed light. The cover does not snug up real tight to the ceiling.
Don't buy this unit unless you intend to install it with the recommended 6 inch duct.
