Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by OMG!!! Love my cabin There was a lot prep work. Just washed the cabinets down with dawn to ensure all the grease was remmoved. Sealed the holds and painted. The paint dries really fast, so by the time i'd finish painting all the doors and trim I was able to add the hardware. The paint has a nice soft sheen....they look AMAZING!!!! March 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is the best purchase i have made in a long time. No prep to cabinets but to clean them no removal of doors or hardware, Light sanding on laminate surface . Kit had everything Needed sand paper, roller, brush, stirrers . Paint goes on easy and beautifully smooth with full coverage And little touchup. Best and easiest paint i have ever used. Two cans supplied only used one can on all Of these cabinets which were wooden light oak to start. January 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic product that will save you $$$$$ This product is excellent! Decided to use on worn out bedroom furniture instead of kitchen cabinets and it worked WONDERS!!!! Looks like I have all new furniture and I saved hundreds of dollars by refreshing instead buying new. The furniture itself was still in excellent condition. Followed the instructions and watched DVD before beginning. Worth the money. Am going to purchase another kit to actually do my kitchen. April 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This stuff was GREAT. Took an old worn out piece and now it looks like an antique Process to refinish was simple and only took about 2 hours. Have to admit it turned out even better than I expected. Wish I could find a "before" picture so you could see it with the "after" I am posting. Believe me the "before" was a faded brown July 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best cabinet paint PERIOD... I painted my entire kitchen and bathroom cabinets with 2 coats and only used 1 Qt. Its amazing how well this stuff covers and its way easier than the rustoleum kits. The Black in this kit is awesome. September 30, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It looks nice when done. You do have to sand. Don't want all my kitchen cabinets black, but have a lot of black decor in there. Have mismatched wood breadbox and shelf found at an estate sale and trialed paint on these. Will post pics on Pinterest, Room With a View in a few days (once I can put the hardware back on.) You don't have to strip the wood, but you do have to sand off the shiny finish. The instructions give you guidelines, but basically, this is like any indoor paint job, 90% prep work and protecting stuff you don't want the paint to hit. Did I mention you have to sand? The paint is quite drippy and is put on sparingly. 2 coats minimum, but may take 3 or 4. Covered light wood well but had problem with enclosed paintbrush loosing hairs which became embedded. Wound up having to redo 4 surfaces because of this. I didn't like the look of the paint when rolled on with enclosed roller. It looked almost bubbly, so I quickly switched back to the paintbrush. Dries to touch very fast, but you have to wait 2 hours to put on the next coat. If you spot paint over a mistake it's quite visible, so you have to fix the mistake by repainting the whole surface. Stray drips were sometimes hard to see due to the dark color. Finished product looks nice but you have to wait a few days before reinstalling door pulls as the finish needs time to harden. Would recommend washing paint brush and pulling some to find the loose hairs before putting on first coat, (or use your own decent paintbrush.) There was hardly any odor at all to this stuff. Can't say how long it will last as have owned a short time. One more thing, you do have to sand. April 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Be carefule of cleaning products removing the paint I finished the bathroom vanity about a month ago. While using a oxygen bleach foam cleaning product on the sink some of it dripped onto the cabinet. WHen I wiped it off the paint came with it. Now I have to do some touch up. Best advice is to use simple cleaning products and pour or spray on a cloth and wipe slnk. Am trying to get get some advice from Nuvo as to what products to use and avoid. May 25, 2015
