I liked the fan. I bought rechargeable batteries for it. The motor died.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Joe What's up with this!
Bought this fan for a beach and camping trip, charged it up installed the D-size batteries (new) and did a test run.
Every thing works like it said it would except when the built-in rechargeable batteries are low
it's supposed to switch to the D-batteries. This unit has a built-in light for the alkaline batteries
when in use, it never comes on either.
Can't seem to find a phone number for help with this thing too!
Sending this back to Home Depot and maybe try another one.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by coldsteel41 O2Cool Rechargeable 10" Fan with USB charge
PROS: I would highly recommend this fan for folks off grid. Can be powered via 12v, 110, rechargeable batteries, and in a pinch operated from internal battery. Small, compact, easy placement.
CONS: D size rechargeable batteries are very hard to place into and remove from compartment. And when rechargeable batteries get a little low on charge the fans air flow is reduced to a low even though it is set on high.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by jujuga Does not work on Recharable battery
Fan works fine plugged in but will not hold a charge on the recharable battery.
That is the only reason we purchased this fan. Also note that once the recharable battery runs down and no longer can recharge it is not replaceable. I did not find that out until later.
I am returning this fan and exchanging it for another one. I like the concept but I would like for it to actually work.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mike Great Fan...excellent cooling and portability!
This fan operates on the lowest cost energy option. It includes an adapter for both the home and car. Rechargeable batteries allow you to unplug it and take it with you without having to buy batteries! I would definitely buy it again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dreus Great Product But could've been better...
Let me start by telling you the two reasons I brought this fan:
1) It works without electricity, Ideal for those at the beach or camps or one of those days when the power goes out, only bad thing (but not a deal breaker) was that I'd hope it charged the D-cell batteries as well as the built in internal batteries, for twice maybe trice the duration.
2) It charges almost any device via the supplied usb port.
The fan works really well even at low settings and last quite a while, it very quiet even at close distances when you need that cool air in your face while sleeping, the other bad thing is that depending on your situation, be it at home or on the go, when you are charging the fan, be it on or off, if say there is a power outage, due to the lack in charging technology, the batteries will slowly drain if you don't set the slider to the "off" position, and in order to charge the batteries you have to set the slider in the "stop" position, or it'll charge the batteries while it's on.
The fan has multiple LED displays letting you know weather it's charging, it's on on battery power, alkaline or the internal batteries, or from the supplied power source.
As for power source, you can either plug it in with the adapter or car adapter (Both supplied in the box).
Also don't know about others, but mine did not come with rubber stoppers, in the bottom of the fan to prevent it from sliding, but I made some of my own and provided them in the 8 empty grooves. Also it might be difficult to clean later on when dust gets collected, as of yet I haven't found a way to open it, but it's not needed yet.
I Definitely would recommend this fan for anybody on the go as I also travel a lot and need something to cool down with, I'll also buy another one when I get the chance.
Hopefully my review proved helpful.
