Product Overview

ODL Brisa Retractable Screen Door, for sliding (patio) doors, takes a fresh approach to maximizing fresh air and your view while offering a smooth and steady screen operation, ergonomic and intuitive function, smart and neutral design and a simple and quick 30 minute installation - all with the benefit of a limited lifetime warranty. Brisa Retractable Screen Door offers homeowners a fresh approach to traditional screen doors. Like hinged screen doors, Brisa allows fresh air to circulate into the home. But Brisa does that without all the banging and slamming and in-the-way hassles of a traditional hinged screen door. Brisa's full view screen also fully retracts when not in use so it doesn't get in the way. It's there when you need it and out of sight when you don't.

  • Brisa retractable screen door in white for 6 ft. 8 in. sliding (patio) doors
  • Innovative EZ glide system provides a smooth and steady experience - each and every time the screen is opened or retracted
  • Secure locking latch and ergonomic handle offers a simple 1-hand operation and provides confidence that the screen will stay closed
  • 30-Minute installation - smartly designed with ease of installation in mind, no metal cutting is required and only 1 power driver tool is needed to install 5 components in only 30-minutes
  • Simple-to-install quick-snap track (patent pending) can be snapped into the screen housing and adjusted to proper length without cutting - providing a universal fit for 95% of the most common door widths/styles
  • Outer face-mount installation creates a full opening for fresh air circulation, unobstructed view and full pass-through space without the intrusive housing or track associated with in-jamb installed retractable screen doors
  • A symmetrical design and neutral material selections coordinate with the brick or wood molding of your home's architecture
  • Subtle stripes woven into the screen provide visual cues to help prevent screen walk-through - especially on days when bright sunlight can seem to make the screen disappear
  • Durable painted surfaces and rust- free aluminum housing and track require no maintenance

Customer Questions & Answers

can this be used with out swinging doors

my apartment door frame is 2 1/2" wide with the glass door opening out and the 2 1/2 " of frame on the interior. Will this screen work
Asked by: Wondering
It can be installed on the inside of the door BUT, note that there is a track at the bottom that you will either have to step over (and it will probably eventually get bent or otherwise damaged) or you must cut a slot in the floor (tile or wood) just inside of the threshold to accomodate the track.

Can the width be adjusted to 32" by altering the saddle track?

I have an opening on an older house that is 79" high by 32" wide, can this door be altered to fit this size?

36 in. x 78 in. Brisa White Sliding Retractable Screen Door is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product The product was as illustrated and was easy the install. With an excellent latch, I'm sure it will last longer than the magnet latch on our last one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great door for tight area Simply awesome. Had a single 32" wide exterior door on a 45 angled bay window. Swing out door would not work. Perfect fit. Arrived heavily packaged. Installing was too easy. If your opening is 32-36 wide, it adjusts without any cutting. 4 screws and its in. Was afraid it was a "rv" type product, plastic bracketS, etc.. Not true, its heavy powdered coated aluminum framing, solid retraction spring, and has precision fitting tracks. Well engineered, period..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The right door for our needs Assembly was easy but a few steps are needed... based on the frame and attachment methods you may need an additional support to anchor the door at the bottom and a "filler" piece in the middle frame of the door where the gasket connects (to fill the gap. so an 8' 1 x 1 (pre-painted) did the trick. It filled the gap between the cylinder and the frame forming a tight fit for the weather strip/bug gasket and the small piece fit under the aluminum sill so I could have an anchor spot. I recommend this product but a 1/2 hour is probably not reasonable. 45-90 minutes depending what materials you have on hand. Door works flawlessly and the markings on the screen prevent the dogs and cats from even making contact. It is however, installed on a Martini deck with no access to below. It probably would not be good to contain small children as the bottom and tops of the screen slides without a frame at the top and bottom of the assembly and could be pushed to create a small opening.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Install was smooth Installed this today, took about an hour. I move slow since I am careful to make sure I know I am doing it right. I would suggest paying attention to being sure the frame is square and level, which is something I did not see mentioned in the install guide. You may also want a tube of caulk handy to seal up some gaps at the top or bottom, but that is no show stopper. I really like how it operates so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install Screen was really easy to assemble, the instructions aren't the best but not the worst either ,door is pretty self explanatory how it goes up,snap it together, place on your door and screw it down,,Installation took about 20 Minutes I'll never go back to a swinging screen door ever again

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Won;t work if you already have sliding screen on your patio door. I attempted to install this as a retrofit for a sliding screen. Even though the opening is the correct size the door will not attach correctly if there is an existing track for the screen. This is the only retractable screen advertised for a sliding patio door. Was not happy that it only came in white, but that is moot since it will not attach anyway.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from screen comes out We had the screen door for about two months. My partner accidentally kicked the bottom of the screen door and it came out of the screen door fitting. I am sure there is a way to put it back but it isn't easy....

Rated 1 out of 5 by from BE VERY CAREFUL BEFORE PURCHASING THIS PRODUCT This product does not fit most doors. By the time you've assembled it and find out that it won't fir your door jamb without major alterations to your door jamb - you've just lost $200. I tried it on three exterior doors and it didn't fit any of the jambs. Do yourself a favor and buy an old-fashioned wood screen door. You will avoid a great deal of aggravation, save $100 and be much happier with the final product. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
