Product Overview

ODL's Brisa Retractable Screen Door, for standard 80 in. inswing or outswing entry doors, takes a fresh approach to maximizing fresh air and your view while offering a smooth and steady screen operation, ergonomic and intuitive function, smart and neutral design and a simple and quick 30 minute average installation - all with the benefit of a limited lifetime warranty. Brisa Retractable Screen Door offers homeowners a fresh approach to traditional screen doors. Like hinged screen doors, Brisa allows fresh air to circulate into the home. But Brisa does that without all the banging and slamming and in-the-way hassles of a traditional hinged screen door. Brisa's full view screen also fully retracts when not in use so it doesn't get in the way. It's there when you need it and out of sight when you don't.

  • Brisa retractable screen door in white for standards 80 in. in-swing or out-swing entry doors and is reversible for both left and right door swings X 32 in. to 36in wide
  • Innovative EZ glide system provides a smooth and steady experience - each and every time the screen is opened or retracted
  • Secure locking latch and ergonomic handle offers a simple 1-hand operation and provides confidence that the screen will stay closed
  • 30-minute average installation - smartly designed with ease of installation in mind, no metal cutting is required and only 1 power driver tool is needed to install 5 components in only 30-minutes
  • Quick-snap track installs easily and adjusts to widths between 32 in. and 36 in. without cutting, fits 95% of the most common door widths, note: if door is less than 32 in. wide, two simple cuts are required
  • Outer face-mount installation creates a full opening for fresh air circulation, unobstructed view and full pass-through space without the intrusive housing or track associated with in-jamb installed retractable screen doors
  • A symmetrical design and neutral material selections coordinate with the brick or wood molding of your home's architecture
  • Subtle stripes woven into the screen provide visual cues to help prevent screen walk-through - especially on days when bright sunlight can seem to make the screen "disappear"
  • Durable painted surfaces and rust- free aluminum housing and track require no maintenance
  • Limited lifetime warranty - all parts are covered under a limited lifetime warranty except for the screen mesh
  • Fits doors 32 in. to 36 in. W x 80 in. H

depends on how big your cat is but the screen is really flimsy and my cat could push thru it. the hole is smaller in the picture than it really is.

It can, but depending on how clever the cat is, I am not sure it will kepp him / her out. The bottom track does not offer much resistance. It will provide good air flow....

My threshold is slightly slanted outward (for water runoff, I suspect). Will this door fit tightly at the bottom?

Answer:
I've installed three of these. All worked well. Just follow instructions. Keep in mind there is variation in thresholds so fi there is some space it may be filled with shims and construction adhesive.

Answer:
It should. Be aware that with this retractable door there is nothing but a small guide to hold the screen fast both at the top and the bottom. A strong winds will blow it out of the guide and it will not hold back animals. They push it out and off they go!

Answer:
This door will do the job. Just keep in mind cat claws will damage the screen so an expectation of a long lasting screen depends on the cat and its habits with regard to clawingg or cleaning claws

36 in. x 80 in. Brisa White Standard Retractable Screen Door is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 65.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy installation Having read other reviews I was skeptical but I ordered it amy way and am glad I did. I needed this for my basement entrance which is one of those bulkhead, 5 see walkdowns. There's really no other option for this type of entrance since the main door opens in and you can't have a screen door open out because of the bulkhead. Installation was easy peasy. Honestly I don't know what the other reviews are talking about. The door works great. Highly recommend it - particularly for my application.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smart purchase! When I found this retractable door online, I thought why didn't I think of that??!! Very useful and helps my front accent color door shine. When not in use it retracts into its chamber. It is not bulky and looks very modern. You could not really tell there is a screen door in place. I did not give all 5 stars as my area is windy and the top part of screen tends to separate from the track just a bit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice door, easy to install value Good screen door for the the $. had a little problem during intial assemble because the directions, don't have a good enough close-up picture/drawing of how the cross members insert to main frames. but once that was solved it screwed onto frame very easy and functions very smooth. I'd recommend it. PS entry door must have a threshold to discretely mount the lower cross member to. Screen door has a lower channel bar and it is / could be stepped on while passing through door. Latch is a spring clasp not a magnet that fastens well to frame.

But I helped him get the thing out of the box, inspect it, and go over the instruction. It appears very easy to install (I was not there when he did it). It looks great. It has worked well. The latch holds the screen well. It has not come off and slammed back (this is an automatic retractable screen.

There is a little more planning needed that one might think. You might have to build up your door moldings to make an even flat border all the way around for mounting. This product is for a 32" to 36" opening. You can cut it down for smaller widths, which I did. It does the job and fits the bill.

The install was easy and the screen works perfectly. Check the width of the door opening because you may need to cut the horizontal pieces if the door is narrower than the recommended width and you will need a hacksaw or a power saw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from installed my screen door Assembly instructions were a bit confusing as to the layout for assembly. I wish the pieces would have been marked clearly (numbered) and then defined in the instructions accordingly. The quality is excellent, and I am very happy with the door, (once I finally assembled it correctly)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very utile The video said this is a 30 minute installation and it would have been except for an extrusion error on one of the components. 10 minutes work with the tip of a jewelers file and it was ready to go.
