Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Screen door with style Screen door easy and stylish. Exceptional for the people who only want to enter one door at a time. Although the installation of this door is not as easy as the instructions might have you believe. It took 5 hours to figure out and properly hang this. Have more than a screwdriver and a hacksaw ready. Also I wanted to let everyone know that if by chance you should walk into the closed screen door and pop the screen out you simply push the screen carefully towards the inside of the track then slowly close the door then reopen all the way til it clicks and viola it goes back into place. Whew! April 15, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works for me I had my handyman install this screen for me. While I had no involvement I know the installation was not simple. He had to install boards at the top and threshold of the door (sorry, don't know the proper terminology), to anchor the screen tracks. He realized early in the process that he needed to install the lower board and later on in the process determined the upper board was need. This require 3 visits for installation. Bottom line, not a snap to install. I am not using the door this screen was installed on for entry/exit. This screen was installed simply so we could open the door to facilitate air flow through the house. I think it looks great. In fact I am concerned that my dog is going to plow through this door as it is virtually invisible. I cannot speak to the durability of this door under normal use, but it works for our needs. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good quality poor instructions Chuck the instructions and figure your own way to install if not inside the frame. I'm pretty handy but still took me 6 hours to figure out and install. Had to make significant changes to door frame to attain a mounting surface. Once installed i am pleased with the door. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by retractable screen door not all doors are made the same. bought composite to build up the sill and the center of the door. My door looks like two doors but only one of the opens. had to saw some of the metal sill that was part of the orginal door. the sill plate the came with the screen door did not slide into the rail for my door. my sill had a slant to it. just put the sill plate in place and screwed in in. Directions were a little help but you will have to do a little work to a door like mine. other the that the lady of the house love it. took half a day to install once I got the composite stuff installed. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by do not buy this This product is impossible to install (I do a lot of carpentry so it is not me). Once installed, it is very unreliable, comes off track easy, screen wrinkles, screen has started to fray. I can not think of a worse product. We wanted this for a door at the bottom of a stairwell, since we can not have a stormdoor that opens out with the stairs in the way. It took an entire day to install. I am not taking it down and returning it because I know it will finish breaking before we can really use it. Door frame has to be flat, so we swapped out the door frame for this. Guess that was a waste of money. April 30, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by It would be nice if doors from this company actually fit the openings. First, the door is made very well. Hence, the reason for my recommending the door for others. The problem is; they don't fit the door openings, per their stated size. I first purchased a 36 x 80 unit, it was actually 36 x 81 1/2. It was too tall. I bought this one because it was supposed to fit an in-swing patio door. It fits against the exterior frame of the door, requiring my building up the center vertical door support, and including a 1 1/4" x 2" fill piece along the top. Yes, this one is too short. Due to the fact that I an reasonably handy, it is not the end of the world. However, if you say it's a 80" door, deliver one. I would rate the door as excellent, if it fit the way it was designed. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice product - hope it is fixable... Installation was easy enough. Works well and is very minimal in appearance which I like. However after being bumped into only one time by a clueless kid the screen has completely ripped away from the retracting roller. Looks like it was secured with 2-sided tape of some sort. I believe I can repair it and make it stronger than it was originally - just seems like a weak link. Maybe that is by design to keep the frame from being destroyed when ran into. I guess we'll find out... Tip - add a ribbon or something to the mesh at eye level for the first few days/weeks to keep people from trying to walk through it while it's closed. August 26, 2014
