When I ordered these blinds I was debating between these and a 2" faux wood blind. I'm so happy that I chose this product over the other. I was a bit worried that these would look very "after-market" and kind of stick out like a sore thumb. That is definitely not the case. These blinds look like they could have been a part of the original side lights. I love the versatility of the blinds as far as how much light can enter or not. I rated the Ease of Installation a low mark because my husband had to grind down some of the mounting hardware to get them to fit our sidelights. He is exceptionally handy, but these blinds really challenged him. I think our problem may have been that the frame around our sidelight windows is fiberglass instead of wood, and the frame couldn't really be altered. Anyway, once the installation was complete I couldn't have asked for a better product to meet our needs.

The blinds are great but the installation instructions didn't match the product. Started from scratch and figured out how to install myself.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by joshbarrettco Best addon for $90
When we moved into our new house they had no options for a blind over the side door window. Our dog all the sudden started chasing the lights from reflections of cars that drove by. He pretty much costs us hundreds of dollars in repairs of drywall/paint.
We just build this new house and I was about to give up hope until I found these. After over a year I found them and installed them. Most amazing thing happened. Our dog completely stopped chasing the lights. We have had theses installed for over three months now.
The quality is not the greatest but it was also only $90 with free shipping. The blinds bind up easily so we just leave them shut. Other then that install took 15 minutes looks OEM to the door. Its the best thing I have spent money on. It saved our dog from finding a new home. That I am very happy about.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by zoc A very Wonderfull purchase.
We had this product in another home of ours in Utah for several years and was very efficient and lasting.
when we purchased our Condo we found the same product was needed so we returned to Home Depot to purchase the same product once more. We knew it again it would be easy to install and last a long time.
It always is a pleasure to do business with Home Depot and know our purchase would be worth our time to continue to buy products at Home Depot. Thank you very Home Depot.

The ODL blinds are made for fiberglass doors & windows. My wife really really wanted them. I checked them out bought them, looked at the brackets, modified them for my wood framed door side glass & they worked great. I'm still disappointed that they are only for fiberglass, that's the only CON I have. They work & look great very pleased but he install was a little longer. If you have fiberglass frames the install is very easy.

Installation was easy, I just added two screws on the muddle for better support. Appearance looks great on the side of the door. Reasonable price.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sneeder Exactly what we were looking for and an ease to install. Looks great!
I've been searching for something to update the privacy/look of our front entrance. We needed to update the side light windows that were installed originally by the builder (cheap). When inquiring about new side lights with the built in blinds the cost was just to much. We ended up getting replacement side lights with better insulation/e rating, etc and then these were so easy to install right over the new ones. The only trick that isn't really clear in the instructions is to install the enclosed spacers on both bottom SIDE corners - first loosen the bottom screws on the installed sidelights - then slide the spacers in. You may need to pry (just a little pressure) This way you can slide the tabs on the add on blinds into the installed unit. These look great and we can still put up Halloween decorations on the other glass and then put the blinds back up within seconds. What a difference this makes over our cheap cutted 'paper' blinds. They are totally secure and our youngest can't damage them.
