There is a cutting tool sold on the acrylic display at Home Depot (SKU# 225777 or SKU 215958). Please see the following cutting instructions: http://www.homedepot.com/p/OPTIX-48-in-x-96-in-x-1-8-in-Clear-Acrylic-Sheet-MC-100S/205351353

I want to use this for a garage window. How well will this withstand the elements long term without marring?

Asked by: Dina
The Acrylic sheet sold @ The Home Depot has a 10 year warranty against yellowing due to ultraviolet rays so you should have no issues with that. As for scratching or marring, plastic sheets have a softer surface tension than glass and can scratch easier than glass. However, acrylic sheet is used in these applications all the time. It would take a direct hit by some object for these to scratch to a noticeable level.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works fine Cut very easy with correct cutter, that's for sale with plexiglass. Secret is to have sheet clamped down with a straight edge, cutter cuts with ease. Scores easy breaks clean. Don't remove film until all cutting is done and dry fit completed. Plexiglass stays clean. My project you can't even tell it's there.
