Customer Questions & Answers

Does a " box" contain two complete setups or does one setup require two pieces to build?

Asked by: DW
It includes two mounting brackets, enough to mount one beam to two posts. If you're sandwiching a post between two beams, you'll need two boxes of these instead of just one. It essentially comes with what's shown in the picture.

I have 6x6 posts for my arbor, but I can't figure out if this product is for 6x6 posts or 8x8.

Need more detail on the description please.

Thank you for your inquiry! This product will work with any post that's wider than 5 1/2". Yes, it will definitely work great with your 6" post. Please let us know if you have more questions. Thank you!

If I want to use this with a 4x8 that is inset into a 6x6 beam, so the face to face dimensions are similar to a 2x8 on the face of the 6x6, what screws should I use for the bracket to 4x8?

Specification Clarification

This page under specifications lists the product depth at 8.75 inches, height at 9 inches, and width at 6 inches. The picture doesn't really match that depth. The depth is referring to the the width of the beam your going to hanging up right. I know for a lot of applications this is usually a 2 x 6 or 2 x8. I'm planning on using true 2x6 beams so #1 are the specifications correct on this page, and #2 if so what specifications should I be looking for when hanging a true 2x6 to a true 6x6 post? Many Thanks!
