Does this match the old Bruce model E2100Y that was sold at Lowes? We have that in our house and were halfway through project and have 6 boxes but they are 22 SF. Will they match in color? Will they fit together? Are they basically the same product?

I found a similar product that meets the specifications of your E2100Y; however, because the locking mechanisms change, this may not lock in together with your original product. Armstrong's only recommendation to guarantee a successful installation would be to install a transition piece between the old and the new products. A T-Molding piece would be best in this situation.

Answer:
Hi Inel,
Although it is not necessary to acclimate engineered flooring, it is best to store it in the environment in which it is expected to perform prior to installation. Check adhesive label for adhesive storage limitations.
For your convenience I have provided a link to our installation recommendations for you to reference. I hope this information is helpful.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bruce does it again We were using this to replace damaged flooring. Had to cut 1/8th inch off to match old flooring since the depth of floor being made has changed . Worked fairly well. Hard to do.

Not hard to install, just a little messy with the glue if you're not careful. The factory finish is beautiful. In the areas with little to no traffic, it still looks like new. In light traffic areas, it still looks very good. There are only a couple small places where the glue did not hold well. Our 40 lb dog has scratched it quite a bit in some areas because we play with her in the house - enough that the scratches may have gone past the 1/8 inch hardwood top ply. They say you can sand it once, but I've never done it. Overall, I've been happy with this floor, but here are the cons: I personally would prefer a different installation, rather than glue down, due to the difficulty with replacing worn pieces, not because of the quality of the floor. Every time a spill occurs, remove it as quickly as you can. If it sits on the finish for half a day (if you didn't notice the spill or doggy 'accident'), it will damage the wood and finish (it causes ridges on it). Multiple dog urine 'accidents' in the same spot will darken the wood significantly over time, and it won't come out. Because the floor + glue added 1/2 inch height, I had to cut all my interior doors down, including closet doors, upon replacement. I glued this over an un-restorable terrazzo floor and often kick myself for doing that, because removal is difficult. The glue used for this was a strong adhesive. Had a water pipe break and a bedroom floor was ruined. Hired professionals and it took them 2 full days to get the floor up in one 11x12 room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the look of this flooring! My husband and I installed this in our family room, foyer and on stairs to second story. Everyone comments on how nice it looks, and we love it too. It has given the whole house a new glow. Easy to install & easy to clean.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not great-OK I bought this to match the floor that the builder installed in my kitchen. The quality of this floor is not as good as what the builder put in. The sheen is not as great. There is already splits in some planks that were already installed. I have to order some more to replace the splits.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from had lots of defective boards which could not be installed. I have installed over 800 sq ft of Bruce engineered hardwood flooring in my home prior to this additional 230. The product was easy enough to install, but there were so many cuts and inspection of each board because of unacceptable defects. We were also disappointed with the finish. It was more of a matte finish than the gloss we wanted, but that is not as big of an issue compared to the poor quality control of this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful floors especially for the price We had a tough time finding a light, engineered hardwood in stores. We were a little skeptical of the quality because of the price. We just had them glued down yesterday and they are gorgeous! We are so happy with them. The color is perfect. each piece is different so it looks like vintage hardwood floors. Looks like they will be so easy to clean and gives it such a fresh look. LOVE them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my new floor This floor was put in next to an existing wood floor. The color match was very good. I have a puppy and it resists scratches. This is a wonderful value for the price.
