Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by BN Cheap, not robust. Not a real "AAV"
If you need a cheater valve as an alternative to a rooftop drain waste vent, or for an island sink, don't get this one. It's just a little flap of rubber. A quality Automatic Air Vent has a gravity seal and mesh to keep out debris top and bottom. Look for products from RectorSeal or Studor, which carry certifications for this purpose. Note that pluming codes vary by location.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 5Xbuilder does not meet residential codes
Fortunately I read in a plumbing book that spring loaded vents do not meet code even though they are available. they fail over time. what you need is an AAV Air Admittance Valve. I will have to return this.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by mhtghj not for home use
this is not rated for use in building plumbimg systems, it is for rv use only and the packaging does not indicate that and it is right next to the ones that are for plumbing systems so i will be returning this and getting the part rated for use in buildings.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Karl Good vent for kitchen sink
I had a roof vent completely clog up, so I cut the pipe running into sink and replaced it with this valve. Works great, no gass smell and sink drains better..

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Stan Works great
Installed easily. I had an existing vent in the basement which didn't seem right so I blocked it which made the stationary tub drain slowly. Tub now drains fast and no sewer smell.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by joe1234 Not approved for use in houses
This product is approved for use in recreational vehicles and often in manufactured houses (mobile homes). It is not an air admittance valve and does not meet the requirements of typical plumbing codes.
