I know in the specs it says "Pipe Cement, Primer & Cleaner", and for another can of PVC cement of Christy's brand which I know doesn't require primer it says the same thing. So does anyone know if I need to buy a separate can of primer or is this an all-in-one dealie?

how much setup time on the clear cement

Asked by: rjroy
When you initially connect PVC components, it takes about 15 seconds for initial set (hold together for full 15 seconds to avoid "push-out"), about 15 minutes to achieve initial strength (safe to handle), and fully cure (ready for pressure) after about 2 hours.

Can I use this without a mask/respirator?

Can I use this without a mask/respirator?
Asked by: cement12
You can but we always recommend having the proper air flow/ventilation in the room when using the product. We recommend using a NIOSH approved respirator for organic solvents.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad Investment Once you use, count it gone as no matter how hard you close it dries in the can to a jelly form and all you can do is toss it out. So unless you plan to use it all it is not an item you can plan on holding for the next time you need. It works great but has no shelvf life at all!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Its PVC cement not a savings bond! This stuff works, follow directions, use primer and you will not have leaks. My rule of thumb is to lightly sand each piece to break glaze, hit each joint with purple primer, coat each joint with cement , assemble give a quarter turn and hold for 10 15 seconds. You will have a perfect joint. As far as lasting, its not an investment its cement not a savings bond. When it gets unusable go buy another can. its five bucks common don't be a cheap skate!.
