Customer Questions & Answers

Can it be used on pvc pipes and toilet drain pvc ?

Asked by: Mic12
FlowGuard Gold is a CPVC cement formulated to be used on CPVC pipe. If there are no leaks present at this time then it will need to be your decision to leave the joint as is, and if you do so, please be aware that this will not be warrantied by Oatey. We recommend using the appropriate PVC cement and Primer for your application.

can this be used under wet conditions

Does the CPVC pipe need to be completely dry for this cement to work?
Asked by: Ted
Cement can be used with moisture around it. As long as it is not so much that it is washing the cement away as you apply, you should be fine.

Customer Reviews

FlowGuard Gold 4 oz. CPVC Medium Yellow Cement is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Stuff This is a good product. Make sure you use a cleaner on CPVC first before you glue. I used this nearly every spring repairing camper pipe "CPVC" piping. This glue has even sat through 3 winters in freezing temps and it still works.
