Customer Questions & Answers

Does this green house protects plants from harsh cold weather ?e.g. Snow, sleet, -2 F?? Pls advise Thank you

Asked by: Jenny
No, it rips. I wouldn't recommend this at all.

Does the cover have grommets in it to anchor it to to the ground with stakes

Asked by: Warren
There are hook to attach the rope to that will then attach to the stakes in the ground. This will securely anchor the greenhouse to the ground.

Does the flap secure when closed

I want to get a greenhouse to keep the critters away from my veggies. I was ready to purchase this but while looking at it, now I'm afraid the critters will be able to push the flap open and "help themselves"
Asked by: Roni
Ye, it has zippers that seal it shut, but the zippers are not very substantial and go bad after about a year. You have to replace the whole cover if that happens, and that costs about half the price of the complete product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Piece of Junk! I was excited when we got it up, put our veggies in and for the first couple of days it was great. Then the plastic ripped away from the zipper. It was very hard to zipper, and although I was gentle, it still ripped. I was able to overlook that, but it'd now been a week and we got a wind storm (in MD). the plastic and metal pieces are ruined and Ive got it duct taped together, with most of my plants on the ground in hopes I can get a new one before everything is ruined.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Made from Super cheap parts I received this as a gift It survived 3 months in Seattle (Jan-Mar) without falling apart. It was carefully put away and today I pulled it out and set it up again. Surprisingly it still works considering how cheap the connectors are (bad plastic). I doubt it will last another year, but then I didn't think it would last three months, but did. Maybe I'm wrong, but would not bet on it. It is extremely delicate and fragile. If this was priced at $15, I'd recommend it, but $100 for ~40 lightweight steel tubes, cheap plastic connectors and a vinyl cover. I don't think so. You could buy some dropcloth, pvc pipe and build this yourself much more sturdily for $25. It's just too fragile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Greenhouse I bought this for my mothers 80 year young birthday. She is like a kid in a candy store. Had to put it so she could look at it from back door. Seems like I gave her a new car. I bought one for myself also.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Shoddy, and not worth the bother. This greenhouse, and I use the term loosely, is just a cheap piece of plastic over a frame. It ripped almost immediately. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from What you would expect for the price This product will cover your plants in the winter and warm them on sunny days. Do not expect an indestructible greenhouse that you will never need to tend to. The price tells you that it is from overseas, and for some reason that I will never understand, the Chinese do not feel it is necessary to hire an English translator to dictate the instructions to its overwhelmingly English speaking market. Unlike some of the reviewers, I did not think the single instruction sheet was great, and was in fact infuriated by the end of the process. The frame is a conglomeration of 139 pvc pipe pieces in 13 different shapes and sizes. Some of the shapes are easy to differentiate, some are almost impossible, but it is imperative that you use the exact ones specified in the plans. I would recommend separating all 13 shapes into a separate pile and label them for your reference, it will make things much easier. It is possible that the pieces are engraved with a label, but if so, I could not see them - however, I wear reading glasses and put this together at night under outdoor lights (I would definitely recommend daylight installation). Once you get the general idea of the frame, it progresses much easier. I didn't have a problem fitting the plastic sheeting over the frame, and 5 weeks in, I have not had a problem with the door zippers, although I have been very careful with them. They are not well made, and I can't believe they will make it through a summer of storage, but hopefully they will last through the winter. Make no mistake about it - the zippers are the Achilles heel of the product - it is worthless without effective zippers, and you will need to open and close the doors all throughout the winter. It took me about 2.5 hours to complete the project. I’m 55, in good health, but not the most handy man on the street, so you may be able to do better, but an older person may have an entire day’s project on their hands. The specs state that the shelves can hold 75 lbs, but I’m thinking they meant 7.5 lbs. The frames might be able to support 50-75 lbs, although I wouldn’t try that much on them, but the shelves they have provided are nothing but chicken-wire, they will barely support a few two-pound plants evenly spaced on them. I cut a few sheets of thin plywood to put on the frames, and they work fine, but again, 75 lbs sounds really unrealistic.
