Depending on what parts you need...This is my second sweeper, and on the first one, if I found Home Depot didn't have my part, - OHIO STEEL was excellent (and sometimes free) in sending parts within a couple days

Called the 800 number suggested. They suggested I order it from the manufacturer, Ohio Steel. Told them the shipping charge from Ohio Steel was $28 plus the cost of the bag. HD does not carry and can not order.

Answer:
I have a one acre yard with far too many oak trees, and every year thousands and thousands of acorns drop. I use this sweeper and it does a fine job picking them up. It actually sounds like firecrackers as the brushes pick them up and throw them into the hopper for dumping.
TiP: Use the lowest setting possible and move slowly (half speed of your lawn tractor) and one pass should do the trick!

Answer:
Yes! That's the reason I bought it. We have a 1/2 acre with oak and hickory trees. It picks up the acorn and hickory nuts. If the nuts are not pressed into the soil then it will pick them up. Depending on how deep they are in the grass it might take a couple of passes. It clearly works for that purpose though! Just remember, don't fill the bin too full because it gets heavy to empty!

Answer:
A sturdy mess on the top, sides, and back. The bottom is like plastic. The bottom does not slide on the ground however. The bottom of the basket does not touch the ground.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by No problems... Works great! Needed to download instructions and manual from vendor site..... July 26, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Okay once assembled and hitched, but otherwise of poor design ... I really wanted to like this lawn sweeper, but I don't. It gets the job done ... once assembled (not easy) and hitched to the yard tractor (royal pain). First and foremost, I was suggest the design just isn't very well thought out. Here are a few examples. One of the last assembly steps is to install two tension rods (long 1/4" solid steel rods) to hold the top and bottom of the grass catcher open. To do so, you have to basically sit inside the grass catch (not easy when you're 6'3" like me) all hunched over, and use both hands to bend the each bar into a "C" shape so you can insert the ends into holes punched into the top and bottom horizontal grass catcher frames. The bent tension bar will be under a lot of load, and if your hands get sweaty (mine did) it may slip out of your hand a rip a big hole in the nylon mesh grass catcher bag (which it did). I took me a few tries to finally get the tension bars installed. After figuring out how best to do it through trial and error (multiple rips in the mesh), I could probably install them all day now and not do any damage, but the burden is on YOU to figure out how to do that, because the instructions won't help you at all, or warn you that the rods can easily damage the nylon mesh. My next complaint about the design concerns trying to move the sweeper unit from one point (say, storage) to another (maybe where the tractor or ATV is parked). Even if you have to move it less than 10 feet, I found it to be a royal pain in the behind. The sweeper isn't balanced to make moving it by hand easy. You have to wrestle with the darn thing to position it so the wheels will roll instead of just drag, and there's no way to stop the sweeper brushes from spinning (e.g. a disengage feature) so you have to fight the resistance of the brushes. I will, however, say that once the sweeper is assembled and hitched to your mower or tractor, it works pretty darn well. I was fairly impressed. I would probably recommend the unit to a friend, but I would warn that friend about the poorly thought out design, so they can make an informed decision. Haven't had the unit long enough to speak to its durability. The first time I used it I had just mowed a small pasture that had gotten a little overgrown. The 'grass clippings' were up to maybe 12" in length (sort of like hay straw), much of which got wrapped around the inner wheel bearing recesses and had to be cut out with a knife and scissors. I can see where over a prolonged period of use, the wheel bearings are likely to get compromised by dirt and grass debris, requiring either periodic disassembly and cleaning, or replacement. We'll see. August 24, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works Great Other then the fact the first one I received had a problem that it only worked going backwards because the wheels were assembled wrong at the factory the second one works great for picking up the grass clippings and leaves. Was easy to assemble and setup. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great purchase The lawn sweeper was relatively easy to assemble. I works well with my lawn tractor. Prior to this purchase, I would have to rake grass clipping left on the lawwn. This sweeper makes the clean-up of the yard a breeze. Can't wait to try it on leaves in the fall. July 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice product Simple straight forward installation. Picks up nearly every little speck in the yard, I am very pleased with this product. June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Well made, sweeps clean Assembly took some time but everything fit and went together per the instructions. I've used it four times on close to an acre of grass each time and it sweeps up easily and throughly. The very large pile of cut grass is a good indication of how well it does and how much dead grass I was leaving on my lawn. May 31, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great product Very well made product, strong and holds a lot of grass clippings. The only con that I have is the pins to hold the bag on are difficult to get on and off if you remove the bag to store it as I do. May 24, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great product for cleaning up debris in yard The only reason that this product isn't rated as excellent is because it arrived bent. It wasn't anything that we couldn't hammer out. It leaves our yard free of small sticks, grass clippings, and leaves! April 26, 2016
