Though, it does say to install directly into studs, and I don't think I saw that when I purchased it (maybe I missed it). However, in the area I had it, I had to use heavy duty anchors. It holds very well with those. I did use over sized anchors that hold about 75 pounds in each anchor and I used 4.

This completely meets my needs in my small kitchen. I have an expensive sets of pans that have to have a secure place to hang. The metal that this is made from is very heavy, which I equate into better quality. The hooks are easy to position to hang where ever you need them to. The spacing of the holes directly line up to the wall studs so it will safely attach to the wall. That was one of my concerns when I purchased it. It is narrow (depth) and few wall racks are wider, but it fits nicely in my space and it is made of high quality materials.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very heavy Perhaps I should have read the description more carefully but... buyers be aware that this product is heavy enough that it can only be mounted on studs, and that the mounting brackets are not adjustable. So unless your studs are spaced exactly the length of the rack, you will have to build a mounting board for your wall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works exactly as intended We bought this pot rack because I was tired of reaching in my corner cabinet with the extra small door to retrieve my pots and pans whenever I wanted to cook. My husband and his friend installed this unit in a little over an hour including leveling off and finding the studs. It is completely mandatory to install this rack into the stud. I love the added storage on the shelf up top and overall this rack performs as expected. It feels very sturdy once up even with all of the hooks being utilized by very heavy cookware (lots of cast iron). The look and finish is very sleek and the rack blends in flawlessly with the decor of my kitchen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from By far the best for the money I purchased two of these for a pantry project. We own a LOT of cast iron, and these have more than met that challenge. They are extremely sturdy and well-made, and hold everything we wanted with room for more. The number of hooks that come with the rack are more than sufficient, and actually come in 2 different shapes to accomodate various arrangements. The shipping was free and very fast. Installation was easy, so long as you either have a little flexibility on exactly where on the wall they can go (they HAVE to be mounted into studs) or the ability, as we did, to add studs where you want to hang them. We had stripped the wall down to studs, so that was no big deal for us. It will definitely take two people to mount the rack, as it is quite heavy. As I said in the summary, these are BY FAR the best value for the money. I love them and would absolutely buy them again and recommend them to friends. :0)
