Answer:
I am not sure of your exact configuration however I believe these panels can be screwed to anything. Pilot holes may be required for your application. I would not be certain as to what type of screws would be needed as this panel is typically used for roofing.

I have seen it used on mobile homes not wider than 12 foot wide and it works, but they built low sloping gable roof framing on top of the original trusses before doing so. This was done with 2X4s in a manner to not have either side larger than 6 foot 7 inches. They also installed additional insulation in the framing before installing the roofing panels. Be sure you extend all existing roof vents through the new roof if you do this as it will cause mold and mildew problems if you do not. An option to save money is if a mobile home or house is being torn down in your area, recycle 2X4s from it as these will lay on top of the existing trusses, and the original trusses will carry the load. Leave the existing metal roof in place also. If you try to remove it, it is likely you will damage the siding of the trailer, or maybe even the original roof trusses. Read Less

Recommend that if you are roofing over a flat roof, you have some means of putting a grade to that roof. A steep grade for snow areas and a lesser grade for areas that receive only rain. Not having a grade, you may have leakage issues, when it rains and collapsing issues under moderate snow loads. Given that it's length is only 6-1/2 feet, seams between sheets are inevitable. Trying to shed rain, even if sealed with a good quality silicone sealant, could result water damage. This roofing, like all rigid roofing, is prone to expansion in the summer and shrinkage in the colder months. This would cause the sealant to break free and leak, without a grade steep enough to force the water to run off. Hope this helps. Read Less

Yes, care must be taken as this material is soft and can crack if too much weight is applied.

Not recommended. Even with a solid sub-surface like plywood, foot traffic may damage it. It is rated at about 55 lbs / sq ft. Since the average adult weighs between 175 and 225 lbs and a footprint is approximately 1/3 of a square foot, walking on it could subject it to an equivalent of up to 600 lbs / sq ft, or between 175 and 225 pounds per 1/3 square foot, 12 times it's recommended load rating. Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easiest roofing to install at great price for sheds or doghouse Panel is very easy to install. Use a scrap piece of framing lumber and roof panel to get right nail drive. Too much deforms the roof panel and creates a bowl for water to collect but too little leaves gap for water to get under washer. After practicing nail driving, actual roof goes on quickly. I didn't have any valleys so gable roof with top cap was straight forward. I expect painted asphalt to last a long time. I am not planning on painting it as described in instructions but great to have as option if ever starts looking bad. July 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quality product and service / Let's do this! The Corrugated roof panel was very easy to work with while assembling a kid's play house. The material was easy to handle without the potentials of injury working with aluminum materials. The shipping packaging was outstanding as the single panel was strapped to a pallet and wrapped to avoid any damages. Very happy with this product and would highly recommend to anyone. Thank you! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Corrugated roof This roofing was exactly what I expected. Very easy to cut and install, no problems whatsoever as I used it for a chicken coop. I highly recommend this roofing material. April 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for a Shed or Treehouse In looking for a simple way to put a roof over my kids treehouse, i stumbled across this product in-store. I did not want a shingle roof (too heavy) but wanted something with a nice, finished look. This product was simple to work with, light weight so easy to get up in the air onto the trusses i had built, and very easy to install and to cut to fit around the tree. Only major suggestion - pre-drill before driving the nails through - for me this made it go much easier and avoid problems in getting started. I plan to use the same product over the shed that is next on the project list. August 20, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Product Originally purchased due to price. I was looking for an inexpensive cover for my rabbitry and was impressed with the quality of this roofing material. So much so that I plan on using for my studio and to redo the roof on my house once it is needed. Note: it is not quite as easy to install as suggested. DO NOT leave in direct sunlight before installation otherwise the sheets will get soft and can collapse under your weight - also they will soften up during installation on a sunny day. When cool they handled my weight just fine (when I spread my weight out) and I am a pretty BIG guy (290lbs +). The nails can be pushed through by hand but make sure the nails are perfectly straight before hammering into the perlins. (and don't miss with the hammer). Holes are easily fixed with silicon -fewer holes are made with more experience) June 14, 2014
